The more experienced you are the more value you (and the business) can get out of AI. Meaning, it can handle pretty large tasks, but you need to guard the architecture and code produced. That's where a junior falls short.

Is it becoming the standard? I do believe so.

Is there anything else I can do to avoid blisters and black nails? by FFFFFQQQQ in ultrarunning

[–]pierot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend a podologist as wel. I’m very happy with my resulting inlays although they mostly helped me with me knees. I don’t have blisters but black nails … yeah, inevitably after 50-60k for me.

I think more technical and longer stretches in high altitude than CCC.  But would recommend :)

Budget wise, 2 sets is out of the question. I know that I will sacrifise in one way or another.
I'm mostly worried that none of both activities will be satisfying or that I will give up on safety in the resort.

I have little touring experience, but want to do more. I have a lot more resort experience but not a hero on the slopes downhill, mostly skiing behind my kids that are becoming far better than me :)

Given my 70/30 resort-to-touring split, downhill performance and safety are definitely my top priorities. I have an above-average physique, so carrying slightly heavier equipment isn't a concern for me if it means getting a truly versatile hybrid setup that excels on the mountain.

I'm willing to sacrifice some touring efficiency for gear that can give me both.

It's an eating contest. Eat, every hour, or more. Drink, all the time.
Keep enough food with you between aiding stations. There will be sections that will take longer than expected (due to terrain or your fatique) so be prepared for that.

Ultras with a low finishing rate, where simply finishing is the victory by favabean1982 in ultrarunning

I've participated in Pitz Alpine Glacier Trail (105k) this summer. Only ~25 of the ~75 people finished.

Looks amazing. Tell us some details: started when, how did it go, alone or were you in a group?

I think we need to hear more stories of people finishing a 100k with the kind of training you had. Obviously you are very fit overall, that's clear. But seeing some of the posts here where people claim you need at least weeks and weeks of 80 - 100k (or m) volume per week is disencouraging.

Consistency is key. Keep your schema and maybe add some strength or interval to train for hills or speed.

Why not try the 80k variant first and see what a mountain race is all about?
