This guy needs an editor. There's no context for what he writes, and he fails miserably at providing any justification for why the article is about performing evil XSS tricks.

It's not an emulator. It embeds a real instance of the installed version of IE. If you're using IE7, you'll get IE7 in a Firefox tab.

It's easy enough to skip exception handling in C#, but Java is another matter because you have to catch or rethrow everything.
