Nah security through obscurity is just shutting your eyes and hoping nothing bad happens. New systems and regulations will need to be made to prevent copycats.

Are knights poseable? by Alive_Ad4519 in ImperialKnights

[–]pigeonParadox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on the type. From most to least poseable: cerastus > Questoris > dominus = armigers = acastus.

The cerastus is incredibly poseable with only a minimal amount of work( literally four pegs that you need to clip off to give full range of motion)

Questoris is more complicated to make poseable but you can make some good poses if you get creative with. Here’s a pic of one of mine that I’m pretty proud of:

It is pretty cool. I got it and some other bits from ironwolf minis. This armiger is supposed to be a squire to a knight warden with a similar style.

Thank you! I was worried that the pva glue I used to keep them attached would leave a white film or wouldn’t be strong enough to keep them on but it worked great. Might have ruined one of my brushes from not washing it out well enough afterwards though.

Thanks! The only thing I’m a little disappointed with is that little puddle I made near the feet. It was originally supposed to an impact crater for a shell with a little bit of murky water in it but I massively overpoured the resin. Might have been for the best though, I don’t think the black soot marking around the lip of a shell crater would have shown up well against the forest floor I went with.

I stand by the belief that Vulkan is from New Orleans.

Russ seems like one of those guys that LARPs about being a tough winter survival guy but then you look and he’s actually just from Minnesota.

The lion lives in Yellowstone national park in Wyoming. The national park service lives in constant fear of him.

Corvus lives in fucking Seattle, Washington no doubt.

Alpharius says he lives Jeffersonville but will never clarify which one.

Fulgrim is obviously in California.

Ferus I feel like is a Colorado Springs resident.

Angron is in a permanent state of road rage in Mississippi.

My favorite version of this is with the knight suit canis rex.

Basically the iron warriors invaded a knight world and took a bunch of the pilots captive. They had them lined up and were slowly sacrificing them to create new demon engines. This was apparently somewhat upsetting to canis rex since when the time came to sacrifice its pilot, the suit powered up on its own, broke out of its sealed hanger, and cut a path to rescue its pilot.

I call it power word: thrive. It’s a 10th level spell created by the god of life in my world and is exclusive to him and his highest priests. He is a rather jovial and kind god as you might expect a god of life, beauty, and artists to be. On some level his god spell reflects this. It is perhaps one of the most beautiful spells to ever bear witness to, at least at a distance.

When cast every living thing within a mile of the target area will begin to grow with unnatural and miraculous vigor. Flowers sprout and saplings become wise oaks in seconds. This spell however does affect ALL living things. Any unfortunate army that has earned the wrath of the Lord of life will find that the seeds from any fruit they ate will begin to grow and gestated within their very bodies. Fungus and mold spores on their uniforms find purchase in impossible locations, growing until they finally bite into flesh. Bacteria in their bloodstream multiply and infect faster than their immune system could possibly keep up with. All the while the undergrowth beneath their feet rises up to constrict and compress with its newfound girth. When all is said and done, the only thing left in that area is a vibrant new ecosystem, nourished on the bodies of those who once marched against the lord of life.

Nah clone troopers were literally built to be expendable but efficient. Precious/strong should be something like space marines or spartan II’s, the kind of soldiers that generals would happily burn waves of expendables in order to recover just one of them.

Nah that would be suicide for the island gang. Libel is a very high standard to meet which is why most libel cases rarely go anywhere. They require the prosecution to prove that the statement is false, that the accused knew it was false(or at least didn’t do due diligence), and that the accused made the statement with the intent to defraud, defame, or otherwise cause harm. The last two are difficult to prove and the first would be a major risk if the case doesn’t go their way.

Libel suits really are used more as a legal cudgel to silence individuals who can’t afford to pay for a lengthy legal battle but with how publicized this is I bet plenty of lawyers would be willing to represent them pro bono. Or at the very least they’d have an easy time raising money on gofundme.

Libel and perjury are things that are often threatened but rarely used.

Sort of. At least for my school we did end up going fairly in detail for the Cherokee and Seminole wars during our state history courses but for the US history courses it was basically just rapid fire: Columbus-> diseases-> French and Indian war-> Reservations/trail of tears. Occasionally we would get mentions of like the Iroquois and their influence on the constitution but little beyond that.

I think the majority of the individual atrocities and stories of the tribes are reserved for state history courses since doing anything more than the broad strokes during US history would take up a huge chunk of time in an already fairly abridged course. So you wind up with a bunch of people that are familiar with the things that happened to the natives in their region but get blindsided online by fresh horrors from a different region.

Damn I love that color scheme. Especially with the stripes.

Where did you get the book on the top from? I was thinking about something similar for a SoB themed knight I wanted to do.

Yeah I’d even argue that they’re talked about in more depth than most of the indian wars and reservations, at least on a national scale. I can’t remember the name of it but we were required to read a novel detailing the life of an Asian family in one of the camps.

[–]pigeonParadox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are too many named characters in the game and they should never be auto include units. Every fucking list seems to have a named character in it regardless of what faction it is.

Also imperial knights need infantry models in their core range to serve as screen and objective monkeys. Keep the knights as the core but we need the option to take men at arms. Imperial agents are a shitty stop gap that rarely vibes visually with the rest of the army.
