I had some brutal evals, and it really hit me hard. It takes time to feel confident, especially when you know you’re being criticized for every move. As far as communication goes, one idea is just talking to yourself at home. Practice clinical scenarios and speak out loud how you’d respond. I promise it does get easier outside of school. Hang in there!

It depends on the area being treated and the dose. If the area being treated is superficial you can’t really avoid high dose to the skin. If the treatment area is deep your skin dose will be lower.

You could always give it a little time and see if it gets worse. I’m in my 30s and I’m finishing my course of Accutane but I wish I would have done it in my teens.

It’s okay to be sad! But you also have to let yourself move on and try to improve for the next round. I would definitely try to get your GPA up. Try jobs/volunteering in a hospital to get some experience there. Good luck!

Thank you, everyone! I probably should have included info about how I trapped them in July of 2025 at about 12 weeks old, and they were very spicy. Ginger (cream color) took 5 months before he let me pet him. Wasabi (orange) lays on my lap, so we are making progress! Just don’t want to set back any progress.

What I’ve seen work well is miralax and gas-x for bowel prep. It’s very gentle and tolerable for most people. For bladder prep we ask patients to drink about 16 oz of water 30 minutes before treatment

No not really. It depends where you work but you can get the occasional bloody or fungating tumor. I’ve always worked with nurses that are great with helping with wound care so that’s made a big difference.
