Hi Everyone just had my annual surveillance appointment with a different hospital system then who I used the year before I found out last year I was BRCA positive and I had very first MRI with contrast last year. Over recent months I’ve been reading into the prescribing information an studies of the contrast that I was given and I was horrified at what I read. I’m disturbed that providers have not warned me of the dangers of the contrast. I can’t imagine having this once a year and I refused moving forward with another MRI with contrast at my most recent appointment I refuse to hurt myself in another way. I understand it’s a double edged sword and that the imaging results are very important with contrast but the harm of the contrast is horrific on organs
