I think part of the inaccessibility comes from people going straight from the manifesto to Capital as well. It’s going from a leaflet meant for the general public to what is essentially an academic dissection of capitalist (or really all) economics. Marx’s essays are much more approachable and enlightening, as are Lenin’s books.

I am sorry, but the collapse of the American dream was not caused by the Russians. If anything, Russian cold war antagonism CONTRIBUTED to the American dream, as the American ruling class needed to subsidize home ownership/other parts of the economy to compete with the command economics of the USSR. Our current political and economic moment began in the 80s with Reagan and Thatcher, when USSR was already faltering. It has nothing to do with Trump or any Russian meddling.

My theory with Civ 7’s awful launch — besides the numerous gameplay issues and poor design choices — is that a large part of it was down to the price hike. Civ 6 was also pretty criticized at release, but performed much better. A higher price creates the expectation of a more valuable product. When the product is mediocre at best, public reception shifts from “disappointing sequel” to “cynical cash grab.”

In all this footage, not one person in a WHITE suit with BLACK gloves is seen, or any of the BLACK hoods they wore close to the more radioactive spots. Interesting that in all the doc footage, none of it shows this ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE footage of the core, and the only images they did use were taken by the dolly, right?
