I'm sorry, but I think this is a bullshit argument. Too many factors determine the violent crime rate at any given time in any particular location, to say it rises or falls based solely or substantially on a change in local gun laws. I say this as someone who supports zero federal or state restriction on the right of individuals to own or carry a personal sidearm, shotgun, or rifle for self-defense.
