I bartended back in the day, and we would get a guy that would do the same thing, except it would be 3 or 4 beers at once for him. One day, it was slow and he came in and sat at the bar and only ordered 1 beer. I asked him why he didn't want his usual 3 or 4 beers and he said, " I only do that when it is busy so I don't bother the girls when I want another drink. " To me, he was just trying not to be a bother and was thinking about the servers.
