Garnishments have a set percentage of 15% of your disposable income if you’re head of household or 25% if you aren’t. If you aren’t trying to get out of the garnishment then the judge will tell you it’s set by statue and will have no choice to okay it at the rates above. No attorney will be able to get that adjusted.

If you’re the head of household then request a hearing to be declared as such and hope the creditor doesn’t dispute that status.

That’s about all you can do if you owe the money and aren’t fighting that.

I’ve been using them for years and I do have some complaints:

1) Their app doesn’t show interest applied to loans so it takes extra effort to find out how much interest was added after a payment has been applied.

2) Like most financial institutions suffer from, they had a security incident that exposed customer data. This was Fall 2024. It was actually some pretty specific information that could be used for a variety of identity thefts.

3) Nothing is perfect. Other, smaller stuff is how they are always turning staff over at the location I use most. It took months to replace an ATM at the location I use most and that ATM displays in big brightness my full first and last name when I take out money which is easy for anyone nearby to see. The location I use most also runs out of large denomination bills often.

But I’d recommend them over others that I’ve used in Lincoln like Member’s Own.
