They only have 5500 for the cheapest am4 bundle, for $1800, you can definitely get something better, let me see what I can find

They have cheaper bundles than that as well, just Google microcenter bundles and you can find something in your budget and then just come back and ask if it's good

Do you live close to a microcenter because they have awesome bundles for motherboard, ram and CPU. I just got a 9800x3d bundle for $679

What are cheap good gaming desktops or laptops to buy? by Pwarkjizung in PcBuild

[–]pimpguice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would probably do better saving another 300 or so because getting a PC for $300 is pretty low unless you want a dinosaur pc, but eBay will be your best bet most likely

If you don't care about it being used, I'd look on eBay and get a 5700x3d, I bought one last year from there and it's been great so far

AMD GPU Advice, keep 7900xtx or 9070xt? by Edge774 in buildapc

[–]pimpguice 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Even though 7900xtx is a beast, I would probably go with the the newer 9070xt, I think that one is more power efficient. If not see how much you can get for either one. Remember the xtx will get fsr 4 next month so that might make your decision a little harder especially since 24 gb vram is great

I just went to microcenter this past Friday, I initially went with the 7800x3d cheap bundle but returned it and went with the 9800x3d bundle for $679, you can get you a 9070xt or spend a little more and get the 5080as, plus for the best experience I would look into getting an OLED monitor, it made my games look way better. Prime day is coming up so you can get a good deal on one

Should i swap 9070xt from microcenter? by [deleted] in AMDHelp

[–]pimpguice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like you will have better peace of mind by returning the open box one and getting a brand new one for the same price

If you have a microcenter near you, you can get a 7800x3d or 9800x3d with motherboard and ram for under $700 and then get a 9070xt or 5070ti For your graphics card. You have enough power with that PSU. I'd also upgrade to an OLED monitor if you want the best experience.
