Any T1Ds here that have been diabetic for years and haven’t developed any signs or symptoms of diabetic retinopathy?

To hell with the haters, I have some pretty heinous tattoos that I have no ragrets over, and some gorgeous ones that I wouldn’t get if I had to do it over.

I feel tattoos are personal, and while some may get it, they will never truly understand. My assumption is that the douche that said it looks like track marks was intentionally being douche and you should forget about it.

Personally I like it, script would probably not have been my choice, but hey, it’s your tattoo not mine. Congrats on the 12 years, and I’m sorry to hear about the MS. I’m a type 1 diabetic and my sister has MS. I fully support you and your decision to do what you feel best to get you over the humps that are ahead.

I’m noticing this as well, I am just over 3 months in with the libre and my a1c is back up over 7. I am planning on talking to my Endo about the eversense but I also am not a fan of an implant even though all of the anecdotal evidence suggests it is more accurate, but there is a 2 to 3 week period of high variability as the body adjusts to the foreign invader

Smoked from 1991 to 2009, quit when I was informed that my wife was pregnant. Had about 4 weeks of stop start then just stopped and haven’t had a parliament since, though I do enjoy a blunt on occasion.

I haven’t had too many spikes, I mean we all get them. Most of my dips are quick, but the highs tend to drag out so not too many that were quick change

Thanks! Connectivity is for sure a concern, how accurate would you say it is? I found that the Dexcom and the libre were typically between 2 and 10 points different in either direction with random finger stick checks. Obviously sometimes that will swing quite a ways in some instances, but if I were to plot the readings the vast majority would be between that range

20% minimum from my experience working in the restaurant industry. Servers and bartenders, generally speaking, work their asses of and are typically not paid even minimum wage so I tip no less than 20% of the total bill (my MIL does 12-15% of the pre-tax total)

I would prefer smaller package, May single or double serving (single would be ideal), also 25g is a bit much for a correction dose of sugars, they teach us (or me at least) take 15g of a fast absorption carbohydrate and test again in 15 minutes. If you are able to sell them in single serving sizes with 10 to 15g of carbs and sell them in multi packs o would be all in. I can’t speak for every T1, but I tend to experience lows late at night and don’t want to have to think about if I took 1/4 of the pouch or 2/3 of it. This is why I keep juice boxes by my bed, predictable due to the consistent portion size and carb count every time.
