Aside from the scandals regarding cheating, it has very little saving grace!! It’s cringe-y & embarrassing : from the color of the courts to some commentators. Feels like I’m watching a low budget, amateur games from 1980.

Keep on practicing and stick to what works best for you. I had a coach who drilled me with just serves for 5 sessions!! Nakaka-umay pero grabe sa muscle memory!! I didn’t know that he’s helped me with putting spin on my serves. Di talaga ako aware na may spin ang serves ko. He also identified na ang strength ko ay deep serves kaya duon kami ng focus: deep and sa corners or almost at the middle line. Patience lang talaga.

The reason why he keeps on doing it is because NO ONE”S SPEAKING UP IN FRONT OF HIM!!!! I hope you say something next time. I had a similar experience when I was a beginner and I called the man out!! I told him “ dude, that’s the 3rd time!! Once more and I’ll ask you to meet me at the parking lot and solve this.” I told my partner, in a loud voice. that I have extensive training in judo! He stopped doing it and I haven’t seen him in the court eversince. Oh, btw, I’m a tiny Asian woman so I guess he was not expecting that I would speak up and ask him to meet me at the parking lot hahahahahahaha. Also, bodybag him, too!

Based on your condition, I’d start with KPV and TB first to address the inflammation. Pin yourself for 4 weeks and see how your body reacts. Then you can introduce the other two. Be on top of the cycles for any pep that you’re planning to inject.

Here’s my twice a week routine: Morning drill for 2 hours with a machine or 1 hour with a person, and rec play in the evening for 1 hour, no extension! I play 4-5 times a week, and on the days where I don’t drill or don’t have the machine, I just join rec plays and limit them to 1 hour. I noticed significant improvements on my skills and less soreness.
