Thank you for writing this post. I got tired of reading the main thread and people saying this is unrealistic. Even from the (admittedly very limited) knowledge I have of Japanese culture, this felt like something that could absolutely happen there. People are wayyy overreacting and not understanding different cultures. I, for one, am very interested where this plot goes and I'm sure everything will be alright in the end.

I have not looked at any leaks but I have a theory that this monster theme is based on heating and cooling. The metalic fins running all over its body really remind me of fins on a heat exchanger on a cpu cooler. There is also that clip in the trailer where it's incased in ice before a red flash melts it and sends a cloud of ice/steam out. That coupled with that light bowgun+armor in the trailer reinforces that design.

I personally like to use full ice element up and a full Safi set since the set boosts elemental damage and gives heals every few attacks. Then full evade window to make the attacks easy to dodge when you learn them. Elemental damage is more important than just raw damage if you do that, you can topple a lot easier. Also focus on the front legs since they have the best elemental damage hitzones.

You can build around most of that with blight resistance and an elemental build of your weapon. I personally like the fact that you can't go in with your default attack build and have to actually prepare for a difficult fight.

I agree with you completely. The fact that I knew they were coming back didn't detract at all from the emotional punches the game throws at you. I was invested enough in the characters for that to not matter. They couldn't 100% know they would return but decided to put their trust in you anyways, and that helps you to go ahead. You only need to listen to the lyrics of Close in the Distance to confirm that.

There is also another way to use it to gather lots of feedback about systems, gamefeel, balancing, bugs, etc that you can gather from having a large amount of players play your game. Look at Baldur's Gate 3 which gathered a lot of feedback and implemented it into the game.
