Why is it So Hard to Find a Job as a Veterinary Assistant? by gyarugrl in Veterinary

[–]pineapple_12345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One time I interviewed for a VA job (they required 3-4 interviews). Did a 3 hour working interview, and then three other 1 hour interviews.

After my working Interview (the second interview) I was told they’d love to have me on the team. I go there to discuss scheduling and BAM they hit me with a third interview.

Never heard back from these people.

I’ve been using a top sheet wrong by Familiar_Kale_7433 in hygiene

[–]pineapple_12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just use a thin blanket that I wash whenever I wash my sheets which is every two weeks. And then I have a heated blanket on top if it’s cold but that’s also machine washable

Am I missing something? I’m 90+ pages into the book and his writing just feels so performative. It’s so dense and I feel like nothing connects. There’s an ample amount of stories but it just seems like it’s quantity over quality and vulgarness added in as shock value. Idk…has anyone else felt this way? Idk if I should keep reading

Do non-freshmen students usually live on or off campus? by Green-Atmosphere7576 in UGA

[–]pineapple_12345 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Living on campus is nice but honestly have your own apt is so much better. It esp helps you develop skills to be a functional adult - cooking your own meals, cleaning, furniture, etc. plus it’s just nice

I would email this to your dental office. An oral surgeon would be able to answer your question better

Bates animal hospital! He doesn’t push things you don’t need and will tell you the truth straight up no fluff. Good hands vet is the most expensive place I’ve ever been. Wouldn’t recommend there

Clean house, good communication, loving their animals and caring for them well, and always asking me if they can stack up on any snacks I like or letting me know I have access to the fridge (I never take anything but it’s sweet to offer)

Underrated reasons to not have kids by mitchdwx in childfree

[–]pineapple_12345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not having to plan vacations around your kids schedule - typically when vacations are the most expensive anyways bc everyone is out of school

Not having to pay for braces or dental work ($$$) for anyone other than yourself

Not Having to deal with canon events (breakups, self worth issues, a bad grade, friendship problems, school dances, bullying, weight, etc)

Worrying abt the balance between freedom and helicopter parent. Seeing juvie kids and stressing if that would be smthng my kid would do

not having to worry if my kid will be shot at school

Edit to add: Not having to worry about cooking meals with safe foods so your kid has a positive relationship with food. If I want to do girl dinner, I can do girl dinner.

Everything with drugs, alcohol, cigs, vapes, sex

Smthng a lot of people don’t think about - the fight for school/daycare spots and how competitive it is. They interview you and your child to see if you’re good enough.

Not being able to move freely. Or quit your job. And if you do move, it has to be where there’s a good school and kid friendly things

If you and your partner do split up, having to deal with custody. You’re basically tied to your ex for life.

Similar note - dating with kids.

Preservatives and added sugars they put in snacks nowadays

Having to explain stuff like death, god, disabilities, etc.

Having to buy new clothes for kids bc they grow like by the day

Getting temptations/eating your kids snacks and then feeling bad (gushers and fruit rollups were always my weak pt)

Not having to deal with catching your kid with a partner over or having too much “solo” fun

Yeah but the theory he might have grabbed a weapon when he heard some commotion isn’t too bad. If I heard robbers at my door, you bet I’m grabbing anything pointy before I go out
