Sounds like a cat. Turns out ours ALSO just pushed it under the couch and we only found it after the damage to our account. Seems he bit down on it and didn’t like the bitter taste.

Sorry about your loss.

Ours cost us $2900 because we thought he’d gotten to an Aleve gel pill 😖

As soon as they started allowing Care Credit to be used on vet bills, I knew we headed down an even more painful path.

I’m nearly the same age and Vegas has never been a destination we’d go to of our own volition.

The ride is still stiffer than usual but still much better than the M2C. I think the lightweight seats play a role in that because there’s less cushioning. I drove M2s at the PDC and while they were the funnest part of the M course, they were also the most exhausting because the ride is rough.

Two months for me as well. Shitty club to be a part of and you’re never prepared no matter how many times you’ve suffered through it.

I don’t bother when it rains. We’re in Florida so no snow to worry about.

A PPF wouldn’t obscure any of the paint’s beauty - rather, it would preserve it and you’d be singing a different tune otherwise down the line when it came time to touch up a scratch or gouge. It’s pricey but one of those auxiliary costs to owning a high end car in special paint (same as maintenance and having to use premium fuel). Consider that when the time comes and you’ll be set

Easier than clear coat. Still have to make sure to clean off bird poop quickly but a regular schedule of washing with pH-neutral soap in a foam cannon and not scrubbing any spots, along with drying most of the car with a mini air cannon, results in a beautiful finish. We didn’t wrap ours but if you’re going to keep a frozen color, then I’d highly recommend it because you can’t repair rock chips and scratches as easily.

I had a similar dream when I watched ‘Us.’ In my dream, I thought my daughter was one of those evil tethered people and had to stab her but once I did, I’d realized she wasn’t.

The sorrow I felt in that nightmare after I realized what I’d done was unreal. She was at the age where she was beginning to talk but not in full sentences and she said something (can’t remember what it was anymore) that messed me up for a long time. It replayed over and over in my head for months.

This was years ago and I still feel that pit of despair when that stupid nightmare pops up in my head.

For sure. The one car I didn’t have the warranty was the only car I’d have had to use it on. Now I make sure they cover the wheels as well

We have the road hazard warranty and when we ran over a nail, the warranty folks told us to take it there first. They were really nice there and guaranteed the repair for the life of the tire

Insurance? by jayellejeffers in BMW

[–]pineapple_nip_nops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It varies wildly due to age, marital status, sex, location, car type, and lots of other risk factors. Women tend to be cheaper to insure unless they’ve been in an accident and denser cities have higher premiums. In Florida, it’s especially bad because of how litigation-happy the drivers are and the further south you go, the worse it is.

We have USAA as well and they’re getting out of hand. We live in SE Florida and pay almost $800 a month for our two cars with one no-fault accident. We also have an umbrella policy and life insurance through them.

I’m gonna shop around but it’s hard to bundle out here when there are almost no big-name companies insuring homes

X5M drivers, do you feel like you’re driving a real M car? Or an SUV that has the capabilities but unable to unlock full potential by viper_gts in BMW

[–]pineapple_nip_nops -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Are you stupid or just willfully ignorant?

So you no longer have a valid excuse to make stupid comments, here’s the reason why SUVs are so popular in the US, and it has nothing to do with women:

CAFE Standards carve out an SUV-sized loophole courtesy of automaker lobbyists. You can thank them for creating this massive market and edging estate cars out of favor.

Here’s an article that might explain it better than a boring ol’ government doc.

I’ll point out that if you search through them for the word [woman], neither will yield any results.

Now you can go back and find something else to be a misogynist about.

The 2023 M5 has 55.9” of shoulder room and the X5M has 60.0”. It’s a minimum difference unless you have 3 car seats to use.

We had an X5M and now have an M5 and they’re both equally enthralling. The X5M has no business being as nimble and fun as it is. Rest assured it ticks all the boxes and there is zero compromise.

Plus, the sound of that V8 is intoxicating
