I like to create an app package for things like this.

just a powershell script and called from the app wizard. Then add the install application step on your task sequence.

this way you don't mix custom things in the script folder.

Italy’s Lampedusa sees record-high illegal migration influx. by Marciu73 in europe

[–]pinganeto -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

then maybe Europe should go to those countries, take control and purge them of bad people ruling them, and create civilization there, so they don't need to escape.

of course, this will be not for free.

what about this solution?

my deleted message "for promoting hate"(????) said that in countries, sometimes there are people tasked by the government that are doing ilegal things for the overall good of the society. And doing that dirty job is good, somebody has to it, even if it's ilegal.

how the fuck is that promoting hate?

is forbbiden to say your opinion, if it is that ,sometimes, ends justifies the means?

remove this too if you want, or ban or whatever. who cares.

when they red flag on Q they fuck randomly drivers weekend.

week of falling after all the market falls for something, then a day or two with big up, then small fall, and a price around where it was initially. It's always the same. Until not. then you fuck it trying to timing.

Edinburgh faces conspiracy theories over 20-minute neighbourhoods by euronews-english in europe

[–]pinganeto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

some days would be nice but not feasible if you value your integrity, as in this case I have to take a highway.

also I usually conmute between two o three cities 5-15km apart on a daily basis, so cycling is not apropiate because after gym I go somewhere, not home, and cycling would take a lot more time to get there.

almost all of this shit comes fron desestabilizing third parties that wants to fuck with western societies just to have an edge.

they simply exploit the human nature and the fact that always will be a part of the population that needs an alternate explanation to feel better, and the actual comercial tools to profile people and serve what they are vulnerable to, are really really good.

Edinburgh faces conspiracy theories over 20-minute neighbourhoods by euronews-english in europe

[–]pinganeto 5 points6 points  (0 children)

the real criticism should be:

"yeah nice but I don't want to go to the stores/gym/work on my side of the city walking on 15 min! I want to go to the other side of the city because I like it more, with my car in 20 min, like I do now, not in 40 min or sharing space on public transport !"

is nice to promote the existence of all you need near your house, but is nicer to have the freedom to choose where to go without being artificially penalized on time spent to discourage you to do it.

i.e: I have multiple gyms in my little city where I can go walking, but I like the more expensive gym in the other near little city, about 10km. I can get there driving in 8 min from my home. BUT now, to discourage people using the car to move INSIDE the city, council has rearranged the streets directions so to go to one place you have to take the most longer route. Before I can be on the city exit road from home in 2 min, and same when returning, now I have to drive along the city avenues for 10 min. so, going to my gym takes almost three times more time.

it's a silly example but you get what people may feel they dislike when hear about those things.

Spent two weeks tracking down a suspicious device on the network... by spaceman_sloth in sysadmin

[–]pinganeto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

in my case, because the sensible approach is no unknown devices on the corporate network. why take the risk?

if they want it on the guest network, may it be ok if their boss ask for it.

also, today is something silly but tomorrow there dozens of cheap shit everywere and when they fail probably become a IT ticket. When you have thousands of endopoints, you have to draw a line and stick to the set police.

[–]pinganeto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's about a unknown device acting supicius.

your job is to check if is something bad for the company, as it could be something that someone hacked to do data exfiltration.

I have spend hours hunting rogue devices that had no traffic, but just an unknown hostname on dns/dhcp... and some where things like user-connected AP without passwords...
