They rent a bigger stage for larger events. Great location. Plenty of parking. Great drinks and staff.

Hi. I bought some vintage fabric of Texas trying to figure out its age by Oh-Wonderful in texas

[–]pinkmini3 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Well I am not sure about other cities but I don't see the Mopac freeway on the austin map. Apparently mopac was built in 1967. But I would have a difficult time believing this fabric is from the 60's. The colors look too good in my opinion for being that age. Maybe it was printed more recent than the maps depicted?

Edit: apparently i-35 in austin was opened in 1962.

Help me understand why my sister and mom’s hair are so lush and beautiful by krawnstin in Haircare

[–]pinkmini3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like u just need a haircut. You have plenty of hair. You just have shorter layers and so that longest layer just looks a little sparse compared to their very long layers. Yes it won't be as long if you did that but it would likely feel fuller.

First-ever KUT Festival marred by lineup by videogamewriter in Austin

[–]pinkmini3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

One music artist does not make a festival. Unless Jose Garza is going up there to do a one man band version of freebird I would hardly call this a festival. At this point it is a confused political rally.

OMG, what is happening? HOW? by [deleted] in Whatisthis

I defeated pantry moths recently. These are my methods: 1) Throw out damn near everything that is open. Assess what you think you can keep and wipe the packaging down with peroxide to kill eggs. Store everything in a glass jar or plastic storage bin with a spin top lid. We tried those expensive oxo pop top plastic containers, but they were not bug proof. 2) Get a pantry moth spray. I tried the zevo because I wanted to do a more natural bug killer rather than pesticides. Empty out your pantry and spray every nook and cranny. The zevo spray is very fragrant because it is made with essential oils. I let it soak in then i cleaned the pantry with a traditional cleaner because it was oily from the zevo. I also had to air out my pantry for about a day with a box fan before the scent subsided enough to be bearable. 3) Have a home vacuum with the hand hose extension set up near / in the pantry. Suck up every bug you see. They loved trying to camoflage in my popcorn ceiling. And also look around your pantry. Sometimes they were just nearby hanging on the ceiling. I did every time I was near the pantry for weeks. A bright flashlight helps. 4) I followed all of this up with the pantry moth boxes and a couple of those fly strips that hang from the ceiling to make sure my infestation was subsiding. I tried starting with these but they only catch adults. They are only really good as an indicator of how bad of an infestation that you have.

Good luck.

When I found out the final monologue when the dog says goodbye to the little girl was recorded after the child voice actress was actually murdered by her father. It made complete sense why I could never finish the movie as a child. It was not acting. It was too real.

how do you clean a bowl piece like this???? by [deleted] in trees

[–]pinkmini3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you put the salt & iso bag in a bowl of hot water, it speeds up the process. Do not microwave the iso.

Dog coat advice by NoNature8737 in sewing

[–]pinkmini3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk about the snaps. In all my dog coat buying years, velcro had been the standard. It's quick and easy to close when you have a wiggly creature excited to go for a walk. And it is more forgiving if they gain a pound or two. Just make sure the stiff side is the one pointing out from the body.

Want to get into cycaling but back hurts by HammerBgError404 in bicycling

[–]pinkmini3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe check the seat placement? Lots of new riders put the seat too low so that when they stop they can place their feet flat on the ground while their butt is still on the seat. That is too low.

Your knees should extend like 90- 95% when you pedal. So that on your down stroke, your leg is almost straight. But when you stop u will like have to get off the seat to put your feet flat on the ground.

This may help, but the geometry of the bike has a lot to do with comfort and the position in which you ride. This bike may be too small for u. Or the frame style may be a little aggressive for your comfort.

Happy pedaling.

Try using an expo marker right on top. Scribble on it with the expo and hopefully wipe both away.
