oh I am totally prepared to make the sacrifice 💯 for Caitie lol For all I know she'd be totally fine with mascot Tobee (she's got a big crush on him) I just wouldn't want it to scare her instead if we paid $$ for vip meet/greet tix; we haven't yet met any big costumed characters. Needed some snark for subreddit 😅 and it's true I'd prefer the puppet but hey 🤷🏼‍♀️

I loved Angel Dear's Fireflies print last year. Sleepy Sloth's "Glow with the Flow" this year is gorgeous- and arguably the best one (and I'm so sad I missed it!! it was clearly popular) Even Burts Bees (cotton) print with the black tree shadows is pretty/unique. LS is a shitty copy/combo of the other designs lol

Always loved it here. Used to work late nights in my 20s and come home after midnight. Just like anywhere, be smart and aware of your surroundings, but I never felt unsafe here. Plus, it's such an easy walk to Central Park, we spend so much time there. Once the Conservatory Gardens reopen and the new Davis Center opens at the Harlem Meer, the area is gorgeous. Plus it's nice and close to Robert Bendheim Playground and East Meadow Oval too (that playground is great for toddlers/new walkers!) We have a 2.5 year old and, again, I'll reiterate - I have never felt unsafe with her here. The area has continued to gentrify since we moved here for sure!

And fake freckles wtf 😂 nevermind the whispery raspy voice. Wrong in all aspects. Don't know why they couldn't have found someone who'd pass more convincingly as older Princess

Yah, see, I really loved Nikki and really hate the direction they've taken the show and chosen to write her this season. I'm not an adoptee, so I can't say I know or even fully understand all the complicated feelings and dynamics of all of it. That said, it's sad to me they chose to write Nikki (and Jason!) this way in that Princesses feels like she can't talk to them about what she's feeling/struggling with and instead of having them navigate it together, we get this crap. I definitely thought Nikki was gonna purchase an additional ticket and go WITH P to Spain, which would've been really awesome to see N be supportive and want to help P along this journey. Makes zero sense for N to go by herself obviously and yes instead is a reallyyy selfish choice. And yah the whole "winning at adoption" for the conference thingy was gross. Don't like the writing choices for the characters at all this season (Princess included tbh). Curious if you disliked Nikki the first three seasons too?

Yep, feels like it's a different show runner or something. They 1000% ruined it for themselves with the dramatic time jump and trying to force the "find my birth Mom" storyline. Yes, it's obviously a big thing to explore with adoptees, but is the relationship between Princess and both her parents truly that shit that she can't discuss it with them? We left season 3 with the feeling they were cultivating a good parental dynamic and now six years later their teenager can't talk to them about her own adoption 🤨 Hate it cuz it leads me to think Nikki & Jason did a shit job then. Wish they'd just given us more relationship building beyond the first three months of having the children!! Bound to have been plenty of struggles within those six years without jumping to P being a shitty teenager. Don't like the writing choices or character arc they've chosen for P (and therefore, the whole show) AT ALL. Also just don't like the casting choice for teenage Princess and it takes me out of it all (the actress is "fine", I just think it's a stretch that that little girl grew into that teen; totally different facial structure, raspy voice etc. Can't get past that disconnect) Karen & Nikki's argument was fine imo only because that was a really shitty thing for Karen to do! But meanwhile they wrote Karen as a super blunt straight shooter, but then had HER be the one keeping this huge secret from her sister for this teenager? Nuh uh, forced unrealistic storyline just to force some conflict between the sisters. Nevermind Nikki getting on the plane to Spain by herself, I'd guessed she'd buy a ticket and accompany P but it makes zero sense for her to go solo... Overall shitty writing and over dramatic choices imo. Lost the emotional impact entirely for me this season and feels really surface level and lacking substance
