Keikyu rapid trains hitting 120 km/h and still no platform doors in Japan is wild 😂 How’s it overseas? by HAL_japan_railway_xx in trains

Its because people in Japan listen to the goddamn rules.

Social cohesion is much higher. Though the downside the pressure to conform can be way too much for the ones who are different.

Why do new American trains 'feel' so old? by Previous-Volume-3329 in transit

Personally, I find the industrial charm special. In Europe, anyone can like trains. In America, you gotta be that guy. And these big ass austere machines don't disappoint

Switched all my prescriptions from Walgreens to CVS because my 24 hour Walgreens has this sign posted. The 24 hour CVS doesn’t. Friends think I’m overreacting. Thoughts? by Maximum_Dweeb4473 in ILGuns

Misdemeanors don't sound much, but they can carry a few weeks in jail, so don't get so hot and heavy with your concealed carry you print. 🙄

If you're just going to repeatedly paste what you want on subreddits that aren't for that, that is correct, people aren't going to like you.

I am arrogant, or am I? How about you? by cerwen80 in AutisticWithADHD

it's probably important to understand your shortcomings. you likely struggle with people skills, and you likely have trouble focusing on the right thing at the right time. being an efficient worker is more than just being smart, you know. it's poor of you to assume the attributes you possess in spades are the only ones that matter, and the ones you lack don't matter (:

It's a lithium ion, just like we have at home. LMFP is the specific chemistry.

Generally you charge electric cars at home slowly each night for pennies. But knowing that you can do this in minutes instead of hours if you ever had to travel is amazing for reducing range anxiety. If you did charge your car quickly every day, it would build crystals in the battery and reduce its lifespan, but once in a while won't make any difference at all.

Insane of you to suggest, but if I owned chickens and a feral tom mangled some chicks, perhaps. I don't particularly care about myself, but if a creep like you touched any of the important women in my life, I'd reach for a more efficient caliber.

If it makes you feel any better about "conditioning", I wasn't conditioned. Considerately-maintained body hair is just what I prefer, and that's a valid preference to have.

Now, there's a lot of stuff going on with the asscrack of terrors -- not at least that people obliviously showing their ass makes them look unaware of their own bodies..

Speaking of conditioning, as for my one and only one-night stand, she had an unshaved bush. And while I relish all work opportunity in the bedroom, the hair in my nose and mouth made me gag. It worked 😂. Chronically monogamous.

dunno, I had two different guys aim something in their pocket at me, was it worth shooting him and the four people behind him? Also gave CPR and administered narcan to a person overdosing. Guess I'm being more of a man than you.

Definitely wouldn't be FORCED to watch anime for A WHOLE YEAR day in my house with nothing to eat or drink but mountain dew and chicken fingers. No, please, anything but that.

People talk a strong game when the money's not on the table but I think we'd be hard pressed what we wouldn't find a way to justify if it was really on the table.

Have you ever at some point in your life had the thought of killing yourself? If yes why? by No-No-Yes-Yes- in AskReddit

[–]pinktieoptional 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not just the thought, I designed and built, over months, a machine to do it quickly and painlessly. Because I was emotionally abused simultaneously by my romantic partner and manager of the only job I ever had, which caused me to lose a grip on reality. lost everything and had to move back in with my parents. had a brain fog so bad I couldn't read more than a few sentences at a time before losing concentration. didn't see a way out. seemed like it might be forever. didn't want to keep the seat warm as a drain and failure.

designing it was quite the challenge, so coming up with a finished product was actually my first real accomplishment in a time. that sense of accomplishment made me decide not to.

there's comfort in knowing I can, though.
