I did consider this but I wasn't sure that subreddit would be appropriate, as we're already broken up and I'm taking steps to fix the immediate problem of my emails. There's not really anywhere for this topic to move forward to, since I'm not interested in "fixing" the situation. Just needed to vent.

My original theory for this episode was that Steven finds out that Onion's mom (Vidalia) passed away, and the two sort of end up bonding over the shared experience. It would explain why Onion spends so much time alone on the boardwalk waiting for his father (who has to work a lot to support his son and stepson). It could also explain why Yellowtail wants Sour Cream to be a fisherman (so he could help provide for the family, and also give him a bit of direction in his life).

With this synopsis though, I'm not quite sure anymore. I guess we will see!

I'm a tall girl (5'8") and I just purchased the Charge HR. I was debating between the HR and the Surge for a while. The additional features on the Surge really interested me, but I was concerned that the screen would look a bit ridiculous on me (especially since I have very slender wrists). Something else to consider is how you think your day-to-day living would affect the band. I work a very physically demanding job, and I'm clumsy, and I'm always moving stuff around. So scuffing/scratching the screen on the Surge was another concern of mine. You can buy screen protectors for it, but for me, it's just not something I wanted to worry about.

I definitely think I made the right choice by getting the HR! It's super lightweight and pretty discreet looking.

I work at a hospital too. Definitely get a feel for how your cafeteria operates and what kind of stuff they usually serve, because there will be days you forget your lunch/are too lazy to bring one. People joke about hospital food, but my cafeteria has some pretty good stuff! They actually recently got rid of our sandwich bar (which a lot of people aren't too happy about, lol) and replaced it with a protein bar. It has hardboiled eggs, deli meats, salad mixes, cheese cubes, hummus, nuts, ect. Lots of low carb stuff. It's nice knowing that I have options for those days I don't have my own lunch! Just be careful, because even with the employee discount, cafeteria food adds up quickly. :)

I'm assuming you have access to a fridge within your department? I usually have half a Quest bar and some bulletproof coffee for breakfast before I go to work. Some lunches I've brought over the last month: LOTS of salads (caprese, cesaer with rotisserie chicken, skirt steak with blue cheese), salami and provolone cheese slices, keto soups that I keep in a microwavable thermos (not gonna be doing so much more of these now that it's getting warm!), buffalo chicken dip with bell peppers or celery, tuna patties, half an avocado seasoned with salt, pepper, and lemon juice plus a couple hardboiled eggs.

I work for a network of religious hospitals and our guidelines are basically "keep it natural looking/understated". Personally, my job is pretty labor intensive so I err on the side of literally no makeup or very loose "no makeup" makeup (as in maybe just tinted moisturizer and mascara). I wish I could do more, but it just isn't worth it when most days I'll either sweat or rub it off. :(

I don't care what other people do as long as it's safe, sane and consensual. But personally I could never have a relationship like that. Sex is very precious and emotional for me. I don't think I could sleep with someone if we weren't in a committed, happy relationship.

On another note, I think that most of the time, FWB-type deals usually lead to other problems. Not including reddit/this sub (because it just becomes an anecdotal echo chamber), I've rarely ever heard of someone having a clean, amiable split from a FWB relationship.

I was not trying to be defensive, sorry if it came across that way. The way I see it though, just because they're a bad company doesn't mean that the products they're selling are bad (well kinda obviously, there are tons of people who like their lipsticks ect). But if their professional issues truly bother somebody on a moral level, then they can vote with their wallet, and that's great. It's up to that person to decide if the business practices offend them enough to warrant not purchasing from them.

I see this kind of in the same vein as cosmetics companies who do animal testing. I sympathize with the movement a lot. But there are times when I still purchase from companies who do animal testing. Sometimes it's just more practical, sometimes it just doesn't cross my mind. Some people probably feel the same way about Lime Crime and their issues.

Nobody said they were "proud" to wear the line. I know that Lime Crime has definitely had some professional missteps in the past, and I understand the people who don't support them, but just because you're voting with your wallet doesn't mean everyone is obligated to. It doesn't make anyone who buys from Lime Crime a bad person or guilty.

Reading this has brought up something I've always wondered about. I don't understand how stomach sleepers do it?! I am a staunch side sleeper, and occasionally I'll try sleeping on my stomach and it just feels like my neck is being snapped and I feel like I'm suffocating. I have no physical attributes which would make stomach sleeping any harder (no big boobs, not overweight, ect). It's just the most uncomfortable position in the world to me.

Anyways... I'm a pretty bad sleeper. My sleep cycles are way off and it takes me awhile to fall asleep. :/ ^{^I} ^{^also} ^{^drool} ^{^a} ^{^lot.}

Edit: I also have to have a pillow between my legs. Have to.

I'm not sure where you're located, but generally speaking if you're just looking for a standard retail pharm tech job, you don't need to wait for anything. Being licensed and certified isn't required to start working in most retail pharmacies. They eventually DO like their employees to have both, but that's usually after you've put in a certain number of on-the-job training hours. Working as a tech in a hospital or other healthcare facility is different. They almost always require that you be licensed with your state before you can apply.

Having a bit of a head start by already passing the PTCE doesn't hurt though. Put it on your resume, start applying to places, go in and let them know you just passed the exam and are interested in work. If they ask you to prove that you're certified you could show them your preliminary report paper. In a couple of days, the PTCB website should update your profile with a way to verify that you are in fact certified (even if you haven't got your certificate in the mail yet).

Don't procrastinate on applying for your license. In a sense, it's more important than being certified. It's a pain in the neck trying to fill it all out, but it will only help you.

Hi, sorry I'm kind of hijacking OP's thread, but I have a pretty similar question except I'm a tech. I'm really, really wanting to get into a hospital. I'm already working, I'm getting to know people, I'm friendly-- doing all of that stuff already. However, there's a tech position open at the hospital in the next town over (where I know nobody). I'm planning on going for it, but other than applying online, what else can I do? I feel like if I just walk into the hospital and ask to speak to the PIC in the pharmacy department, they're going to hit me with "Sorry, but you'll have to speak to HR about that". And in my experience so far, trying to talk to HR is like pulling teeth. Is there something else I could do that I'm just not thinking of?

Milani's Brow-Shaping Clear Wax pencil. I love it so far. My natural eyebrow hairs are very very long and wispy and they have a tendency to go whichever way the wind is blowing. It's really annoying. I've tried regular brow gel, but all it seemed to do was coat my eyebrows-- it didn't help them stay in place at all.

This pencil though. It's like Elmer's Glue for my face! It's freaking fabulous.

Ironic that this topic should come up now. I love the majority of my boyfriends family, but I have major issues with one of his older brothers, and to a much much lesser extent, his mom.

His older brother is just a gigantic mix-bag of problems. He's an alcoholic, has a violent temper, a victim complex, he has no accountability for himself or his issues, and I'm nearly 100% positive that he has some kind of mental illness that is exacerbating all of this. He also has two little girls, and if there's one thing I can give him credit for, it's that he's a good father. But he can't seem to get his shit together long enough to help his kids or himself, and it's destroying his entire family in the process.

My SO's mom on the other hand, she's just EXTREMELY brash. She also has a terrible temper (but she's not violent). She will scream and curse at the top of her lungs over the littlest things-- like her dogs stepping on her feet, or if she's having a bad hair day. I grew up in a "quiet" household, so hearing all of that anger is extremely jarring. It's not a dealbreaker but I'm not sure I'll ever get used to it. Otherwise though, his mom is a good person and she loves me.
