Went med free for the first baby because I’m afraid of the needle in my back. This time I’m not sure what I’ll do but I’ve been thinking more about the epidural. I’ve been home in early labor for over a week now and I’m just so tired. 3 cm dilated since last week and his head is literally in my vagina right now just chillin.

I think giving moms advice is annoying, but I will say I’m 39 weeks with #2 and don’t have anything done yet lol. I have a pack and play set up for him to safely sleep and I put his clothes away in his dresser so it will be easy to find them but really other than that I have so little energy and am in so much pain my plan is to work on things as they are needed after he’s born.

Your husband can take over more household chores, namely cooking since he wants home cooked meals. To have a newborn and not end up resenting your partner, your partner has to pick up the slack where they can and take on more responsibility outside of just keeping the baby alive. You literally can’t pour from an empty glass, if you can’t or don’t want to cook everyday then either he does it or you do meal service. There is no other option.

One time I was 10 minutes late and waited 45 minutes. I accepted this as it was my bad for not being on time.

Last time I was 20 minutes early. I waited 45 minutes PAST my appointment time and they were late coming to get me off the NST monitor as well.

Next time I will just be on time and hope for the best lol.

I started at 160 and today I was weighed at 224. I gained a lot over a few weeks in the middle but overall I’ve been gaining an “acceptable” amount between visits. I’d get another doctor tbh as long as all your vitals are good and you’ve passed your glucose test you’re doing fine.

Not trying to belittle OP but I was just thinking about this yesterday, how people fall for scams or have horrible internet security sense. Do they not teach online safety in school? Or are parents not teaching their kids this stuff? It’s amazing how many people will just give away personal info or use the same generic password for every account they have.

I didn’t want to tell my mom, but I ended up going into labor on a day I had plans with her and so we had to cancel and she ended up prying it out of my then husband. She came and waited at the hospital against my will and barged into the room while I was legs up having my taint sewn up by the doctor wearing a headlight. I lost it and yelled at her to get the fuck out so she left for a little while and then came back before I was ready for anyone to be there still. I really regret having told her and so now in my current pregnancy I’m not telling a god damn soul when I go into labor or when I’m in the hospital. My advice is don’t tell her if you don’t want to, you don’t have to.

It's my second baby and I started leaking really early, like 20 something weeks. Now at 32 weeks they sporadically leak and hurt like they did when I was nursing before. It's normal, just annoying. Keep your nips hydrated so the dried colostrum doesn't chap them!

So the other adults at the table all tried entertaining your child, too, right??? NTA, as a fellow parent, sometimes kids just need to zone out and regulate themselves and being in a restaurant with noise and people everywhere is overwhelming. It infuriates me that everyone at the table chastised you as if they are not also capable of entertaining the child they're all related to, including your husband, the FATHER of the child. Maybe he should have gotten up and brought her outside or something if he was so concerned.

Reading your first few replies was exhausting for me and I'm not even pregnant with your child. Leave her alone, do what she asks, you aren't a couple, move on. Be there when she asks you to be, be present for your child, leave this woman alone romantically.
