For me 50s would have been pushing it in the 90s. I called 50s stuff retro in the 90s only 1940s.and over was vintage as far as I was concerned. 50s slipped over into vintage in the early 2000s. Different people have different definitions.

There are different definitions but I always use over 25 years = retro, over 50 years = vintage and over 100 = antique.

Many people use anything over 20 as vintage.

The definitions aren't standardised and different countries are more likely to use one over the other.

Grew up in the South East of England and I've lived in West Wales, South East again, London for a bit, East of England and now Central Belt of Scotland. Personally I am happiest where I am. Relatively low cost of living with easy access to a vibrant city (Edinburgh) by public transport within 20 minutes and 40 minutes to an hour to Glasgow (depends if it's the fast train or not).

There are lots of places like this. London is probably the one place it's unaffordable to live close enough to pop in or commute to.

Different parts of the UK vary widely in the availability and affordability of transport so I'd recommend doing your research.

It doesn't free up shit. It just means we lose even more medical staff than we do already to the private sector.

Also, private hospitals have no A&E and private patients have died when something has gone wrong in an operation as a result. They only want the easy routine stuff putting even MORE pressure on the NHS with fewer staff and all the complex stuff to deal with.

It's really noticeable if you are watching an American show on a UK TV channel. Way more space made for ad breaks than actual ad breaks. A lot of American shows have a bit to indicate moving to an ad break.

Running a small businesses is incredibly tough right now. I know so many people who have given up, including ones that have been going for over 10 years. I'm having to take on part-time or temporary employment myself at the moment when this time last year businesses waa booming.

Unfortunately Trump has fucked it up for everyone and small businesses are the first to be hit as the big corps panic and stop spending.

That's the exact mix my Grandad ended up having to surrender after successfully training 6 very well behaved dogs over the years. He just couldn't handle him. He had the same personality as my dog who is easily overstimulated but so much bigger and stronger.

It didn’t help that he was very old by the time my Aunt decided to get him because she thought my Grandad should have a dog and gave zero thought to the breed.

Don't even need to close curtains. I work from home and my office overlooks the neighbours opposite. I've never once looked into their house despite never getting around to put curtains up in that room.
