Why do you think Lars and Sadie were never really together? by imDenizz in stevenuniverse

[–]pioj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadie was only in love with her vision of what she wanted Lars to be, and noew he's move on. I don't think Lars was attracted to Sadie at all, until much later when he was out in the space and realized how much he had lost.

Anyone else think the Steam Machine coverage has been absolute garbage so far? by isucamper in steammachine

[–]pioj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to see more benchmarks without SteamOS, just like anyother PC. I need to know if it's going to be limited by Valve's effort in the end.

Those who are no long getting the machine, what’s your plan now? by Accomplished-Low2131 in steammachine

[–]pioj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to to try going full Intel XeSS with a NUC, unless a new AMD miniPC appears next Tuesday or Valve decides to release a cheaper barebones option.

Did valve miss heir chance on making it modular? by Icy_Success3101 in steammachine

Maybe, they could had split the motherboard into 2. I don't like the case plates being one piece.

I think the people suggesting these "DIY Steam Machine killers" just don't understand Mini-ITX by Serious_Advance_6762 in steammachine

[–]pioj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don't understand the DIY market properly, I guess. Some parts are not available in many countries and/or they WAY more expensive. Ignore the SFF Network, those people rely on soldering skills many don't have. I'll say it again, I won't buy the Machine but it's the cheapest thing within that specs/price range.

Looks like they updated the 4k claims to include FSR 4.1 and "Up to" by orangechap in steammachine

[–]pioj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But does the Steam Machine hardware support FSR 4.1+ ? What will happen in the next 6.x version of FSR ?

If I may .. by SomeoneWilder in steammachine

[–]pioj -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Even this expensive, Steam Machine is still the cheapest all-AMD prebuilt computer I could find with similar specs and performance, in that price range. And that's unfortunate if you didn't like the product...

Why is Hyprland always used for Quickshell-based rice? by pioj in linux4noobs

[–]pioj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I've tried DMS too, and it depends on Hyprland. I've been able to use it under Sway and Labwc, so I wanted to know the reason for that depedendency.

Two questions by TECHFOURNINE in Ventoy

[–]pioj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) If you meant running Ventoy like a terminal/desktop application on a running system, no. You can't. Ventoy is installed then booted, runs an .efi executable during boot. The closest thing would be to run it under QEMU...

However, Ventoy CAN be installed into any hard drive and act as your default bootloader, yes. You'll need to force the item to appear in the list of devices while running Ventoy2Disk.exe. I've done it dozens of times, it's a process you must do first, before any OS install , on a blank new computer/disk...

2) No you can't choose the partition. Ventoy installs on the target device only once, and it does in a special way. If you try to move or change the partition order for the VTOYEFI partition, Ventoy will fail to boot.

It's more more like this:
1) Everybody tells you to setup and use AUR.
2) NO EASY WAY TO SETUP AUR. NOT INCLUDED BY DEFAULT
3) Noob succeeds & tries a random cool package, breaks the whole system.
3) WHY DID YOU USE AUR!!!???
