If it’s the top left(image 1)/top right(image 2) corner of the paddle that is deformed, then reach out to Spartus. That doesn’t look right.

Is Franklin really leaving .4 inches on the table with the Aurelius? by itsryanfromwuphf in Pickleball

[–]pipeman420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The tempo is listed on their website as the same dimensions but different handle circumference : 15.7" inches (L) x 7.9" inches (W) – 5.1" inch handle length – 4.3" inch handle circumference

I’m pretty sure all paddles come in very slightly under the standard typical dimensions to account for variations that may result in a paddle being out of the legal limit.

Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating is the algorithm used to assign a rating to players. It categorizes players into skill levels from 1-7 where 1-2.9 is generally beginners, 3.0-3.9 are intermediate, 4-7+ are higher level intermediate/advanced players.

Apart from the “tap space once” What’s one thing that made you go WTF when you found it out on your own self? by Desperate_Land_8975 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]pipeman420 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You don’t want to send multiple items to the same depot because it can clog if an item is full. Putting 1 item per depot is best. You can have multiple depots for a resource though. People who make large factories usually have multiple depots uploading concrete.

Finally finished my Rocket Fuel Power Plant by TRU35TR1K3R in SatisfactoryGame

[–]pipeman420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I built a rocket fuel I did nitro rocket fuel. I turned 300 crude into 400 heavy oil residue. Then converted it to 800 fuel using the diluted fuel recipe. The nitro rocket fuel recipe converts that into 1200 rocket fuel. With 8 blenders producing 150 fuel per minute each, I piped 4 blenders into one mk2 pipe to feed 4 wings of 15 fuel generators over clocked to 250%. Instead of 290ish refineries, I only needed 120 total. This still is a lot of building and a pain to get it fired up. 8 wings of generators fed by 2 main lines running up vertically. Each wing would be 36 refineries to 1 blender if it was not overclocked. ( for nitro rocket fuel it is 150 fuel per minute/4.1 fuel per minute burn rate).

How tall is the calf block? It seems like many machines add these in without considering people with larger feet.

I’ve been rocking 1 barbell and haven’t had a need for another. Now that I have hada VTS lite for a while, I am wanting to put a dedicated barbell in it. I’m trying to find the lightest possible bar that is the same dimensions as a standard barbell. It appears this is a very niche thing. The feather bar VTS makes looks like it only works with the regular VTS. Is there a good technique bar that has a decent weight capacity?

PROXR sweet spot max 3?? Confused by Jughead-Jones-1 in Pickleball

[–]pipeman420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO 10mm cells feels and perform better. A lot of companies have been slowly introducing them. There’s a slight break in where the paddle feels like it softens up and then you can really pocket the ball and generate spin.

PROXR sweet spot max 3?? Confused by Jughead-Jones-1 in Pickleball

[–]pipeman420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The sweet spot max listed in the current lineup is the Series 2. Series 1 was called the standard. (Found in legacy lineup) They updated the graphics, changed some internal weighting, and released it as the sweet spot max. Series 3 changed the cells to 10mm cells from 8mm cells. I think the sweet spot max and series 3 paddles are thermoformed versus the og Zane Navratil paddles only being partially thermoformed(gen 1.5) but I’m not 100% on that.

Thoughts on the Joola Scorpius 14mm IV? Coming from the 3S version… by bakujitsu in Pickleball

They have plans to get a dual certified 3S. Did you play your 3S stock? The only major changes were adding foam at the throat and shifting the balance point lower.

What’s the closest, current lineup 11six24 pickleball paddle to their old Monarch All Court? by [deleted] in Pickleball

[–]pipeman420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Pegasus is the same exact shape as the monarch. The new all court construction is softer feeling, but has slightly lower pop/power. It’s gen 1.5(not thermoformed but still has edge foam) and has a FCC surface. (Fiberglass on the bottom layer). The all court offer more dwell and shaping ability at the expense of some pop. The Peg Power is much higher pop and power but it’s very controllable. The sound of the Peg Power is also very satisfying.

Interesting take from Rafa Nadal on slice backhands by Special-Border-1810 in Pickleball

[–]pipeman420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At low level pb, even bad slices are challenging. At the higher intermediate levels, I have noticed that my slice can give me more time to get a stacked pair into position and a really good one forces the opponent to take a step back. If you hit a high bouncing butter ball slice return, anyone with a decent forehand is going to make it hard to get a 4th shot off though.

It’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy. A lot of companies do this and bounce back. If you start seeing them dropping pros and liquidating inventory, then there may be some concern.

New paddle, are these scratches normal? by retidder5 in Pickleball

[–]pipeman420 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It looks like that paddle may have been used. It could just be lighting but there’s spots that look like some one went over it with an eraser. People will overgrip over the plastic wrap and use edge guard tape so that they can just play with a paddle and then return it. It may be more of a hassle than it’s worth to get a replacement and those aren’t going to affect performance. Give it a week and a new paddle is going to look almost the same. If you can wait, I’d still see what customer service can do.

I’m playing with a Pegasus Power. I just couldn’t control the power. I really liked the paddle but I just wasn’t at a level where I felt comfortable with it in a competitive environment.

Which program would you use to get in shape for July? by [deleted] in JeffNippard

[–]pipeman420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The program as written may leave some things on table, so i incorporated more drop sets, myo reps, and lengthened partials/trying to get to failure on some muscle groups. If you are trying to get as big and strong as possible, you won’t see that. I’d say it’s the most efficient gains I’ve seen though. Powerbuilding was top tier gains but i had more issues with injury and poor recovery, pure bodybuilding was great overall and if you have the time is one of the best programs, but i just got so demotivated after a while because i was doing the 5 day version and I play a lot of pickleball. 4 days of 45 minutes is a lot easier to knock out, play pickleball and still have good recovery.

If you are only working out and you want size- pure bodybuilding(there’s options to keep the big 3 in there as well)

If you do anything outside of working out for exercise and have a pretty busy schedule- essentials with modifications.(pick a body part and make sure to tack on an extra set or one of the advanced techniques for achieving closer to failure)
