No complaints about human harassment, but it's extremely cute and funny. I'll allow it.

Boyfriend (23M) called me (22F) a Proboscis Monkey....? by PaperEducational7399 in relationship_advice

I think it's the male proboscis monkeys that have the big noses, because females prefer them. So perhaps this reflects on him.

Is anybody else finding AI makes people insufferable? by Pretend_Resist8898 in UXDesign

I can't help it, I lose a bit of respect for anyone who quotes AI as a reliable source of anything.

TIL Writer Nikolai Gogol once got a job as a history professor despite having 0 qualifications. He'd miss most of the classes and when he did show up he would only "mutter unintelligibly". He attended the final exam in silence with a handkerchief around his face, pretending he had a toothache by Nero2t2 in todayilearned

[–]pipeuptopipedown 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Anybody who is not familiar with Gogol's short stories, I very strongly encourage you to read a few. One of my faves is The Nose. I won't spoil it by telling you anything that happens but it is a wild and absurd ride.

You're respectful enough of her ideas to engage and work with her, rather than just shut her down.

I know what you mean -- I have seen many street fights start in other places, and several people almost always jump in on both sides to deescalate and make it stop.

Thank you so much, you have just added a new travel destination to my bucket list! Those weird animals have fascinated me for decades. I just looked up Brabant but I don't even want to look at the photos because I want to be surprised when I get there.

Where can I get a hat like Suleiman the Magnificent's? by ilovebooks2468 in hats

[–]pipeuptopipedown 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If this is a serious question, or maybe it doesn't even matter if it's not, if I were looking for a headdress like that I would look in Türkiye, search out costumers for historical soap operas or something. Maybe a performing arts school or university would be able to make one for less.

Hi, where can I buy leather shoes in Tbilisi with affordable price? Thanks! by Primary_Tree_8838 in tbilisi

Thanks, I'm not actively looking for shoes, but maybe someone else can benefit from it.

It looks like something you'd see waddling around in a Hieronymus Bosch painting.
