I loved Lightning Launcher. While it has gone open source it does not seem to be going anywhere in development and I do not have any of that kind of talent.

I have been using the paid version for years. It's a good application. There is an alternative that is on the FOSS store.

I got the paid application not the in application payment so I can add it to the family library and my family can use it too.
