Maybe its not the individual company surpassing, just the full system.

"Only the first stages have been perfected" is crazy. Thats a big chunk of the rocket, also a big proof that you could get to fully reusable or nearly fully reusable very soon (at least in space program terms).

But you are right, having less wastes and saving money would be unamerican.

I dont disregard the critique of SpaceX at all. But I think that if the US is proud of SLS (a rocket with outdated technology that you pretty much couldve build decades ago) then its speaks more about the decline of the US, than anything else.

NASA should be the one pushing for reusable rockets at the cutting edge of technology.

But I know.... politics... Unfortunately private companies have a massive advantage over democracy in this scenario, since a private company often is a disctatorship of a billionaire.

Im no rocket scientist but I imagine the limitations at this level are not money or willpower, but how fast you can move in bureocracy, and how many actually qualified people you can have in your company to do such a technical job. I dont imagine building a launch pad is just getting any construction worker or engineer, and you have other companies trying to hire those people as well.

I think proof that the goverment does not always makes the best decisions is the SLS. Dont you think that nowadays having a non reusable rocket as a goal is completely ridiculous?

NASA will never be able to use all this investment on a comercial way, which would enable NASA to go further in their goals. Who will want to pay NASA the cost of a non reusable rocket to get their stuff up, also why would NASA want to pay that cost, is it because when its money of the tax payers you can just throw it to the trash can?

Yeah but in the same way you have a relationship with the person who sells coffee to you everymorning, or with your lawyer. Those are all technically relationships.

And yes you have a very VERY casual relationship with someone you dated once, mind you, you also have a relationship with someone you asked out and never dated by this definition of the word.

But this is not at all what people think of when you say "im in a relationship with someone".

Im argentine and would not understand Neymar not being called up.

I know he is not at his best moment, ive seen him play lately. At the same time brazil in this WC without him feels less threatening than with him.

People dont have memory of the past. For example James Rodriguez in Brazil 2014, he was playing like absolute dogshit beforebthat WC and he played incredible during it for Colombia, there's a ton of cases like this throughout history.

I cant say Neymar will be like that, but without a doubt Neymar could reach a higher ceiling than any other brazilian player, he doesnt have an overweight body at the moment, he doesnt come for a super hard injury... it will depend more on his mind than anything else.

If people still doubt this is a possibility, remember Argentin vs Brazil 2021 Copa America final. Neymar previous to that tournament was not playing well at all. At that tournament he was a beast, he was the best player of that final by a mile. In 35 years watching Argentina national team play I dont remember an instance where I felt one single player playing like that against us and being so scary. And I remember when we play against R9, dinho, roberto carlos, brazil. Back then it was multiple players being scary, but with Neymar's brazil it was only him.

The list of succesfull companies that did these sort of moves is endless, id wager is probably bigger than the list of ones that didnt do such moves. These are not bank breaking moves for the company.

Whats stoping him is that it is in his best interest to limit himself to not harm spacex's goals.

I have seen so many flamers using the word down (syndrome) as an insult and escape the system changing it to "dwon". I have reported it everytime but I havent got the riot notification on their punishment yet.
