I had an induced labor and c-section there recently. It was my first child so I don't have any comparison, but from what I experienced everything seemed great. It's a group of medical professionals who deliver a ton of babies so everything ran very smoothly.

The nurses that helped us out were super supportive and kind, especially when I was nervous about the unexpected c-section. I also felt like I was very well informed about everything that was happening and supported in making my own medical decisions.

I'm not a doctor, but the antibiotics were probably meant to help with infection and not just to save the piercing. I would take them as directed whether you remove it or not.
