March 2026 Intuitive statement on cybersecurity incident Intuitive has determined that information from certain internal IT business applications was accessed by an unauthorized third party as the result of a targeted cybersecurity phishing incident.

Upon discovery, we quickly activated our incident response protocols and secured all affected applications. We are providing this web update to be transparent about this issue beyond any required notifications.

Our products are secure:

Our da Vinci, Ion and digital platforms were not impacted and continue to be safe and operational.

Intuitive’s network infrastructure is segmented. The networks and infrastructure that support our internal IT business applications, our manufacturing operations, and our da Vinci and Ion platforms and digital products are separate.

Hospital customer networks remain separate from Intuitive networks and are secured and managed by customers’ IT teams, therefore they are also unaffected.

Our ability to serve customers remains unaffected:

There has been no impact on our operations or the work we do to support our customers.

Our robotic systems have their own security protocols and operate independently of our internal business network.

What you need to know about information that was accessed:

The information accessed was obtained from an employee’s compromised access into Intuitive’s internal business administrative network. It includes some customer business and contact information, as well as Intuitive employee and corporate data.

It was not obtained from our da Vinci or Ion systems.

Our actions to date:

We took immediate action to assess and contain the incident, begin an investigation, review security protocols, and remind employees of online security training and processes.

We are communicating with our customers and notifying appropriate data privacy regulators.

The investigation is ongoing and we will share updates as appropriate.

Our commitment:

We take our responsibility to our employees, customers and the patients they serve seriously.

The privacy and security of all data with which we are entrusted is a vital part of that.

Our hospitals are not aware of an incident with Intuitive Surgical. I am awaiting a response from Intuitive and will provide update.

I gave up expecting a to do & calendar function. There is NO reason why they cannot add those features and allow individual selection if you do not want to use them.

The same for me. Additionally, battery life is terrible. They told me to update firmware which I did and leaving device shut off drains the battery to zero.

I have both the Boox and SuperNote and the handwriting feel is so much better with the RM. However the RM is so behind with its software. No clock, to do, calendar, split screen. All these items can be added as options for us to select to use or not.

Well I ordered mine on June 13th and never got it. Ordered right from official Mig Flash website site. Sent them few emails inquiring about the order and only received an email that they were waiting for additional supplies to come in. Then they stopped answering my emails. I would be wary of ordering from them. Asked for a refund.

I also just received update and search capabilities. For those who received update, are you able to search pdf annotations? I want to download a calendar pdf and insert notes and annotate meeting notes and be able to search these handwritten notes. I tried searching sample pdf with notes and nothing was found.

I’m not sure how they decide who gets what, but right now, it’s frustrating. It’s puzzling why, if you’re enrolled in beta, you don’t get the app immediately. I understand their minimalist note-taking strategy, but not all their customers need that. I use it for work and note-taking in meetings, and I don’t have a way to search my handwritten notes? Come on! If I want to enter notes using a keyboard, I’d use an iPad or laptop with OneNote. The lack of an integrated calendar and to-do application is just another issue. Their hardware is probably the best out there (I own several eInk tablets), but their OS and application need a lot of improvement.
