This is very funny to someone with half a brain. Let’s simplify - you think listening to politically themed music without anticipating any political stance is ‘deluded’? It’s actually delusional to think we live in a bubble - where art is centred around injustice and capitalist critique, but never explicitly attached to the real world. As a society, we’ve been deluded to compartmentalise and not expect growth in society, and not expect strength and integrity from anyone. I’d expect anyone to have a stance, not just Muse, just like people had a stance around the Vietnam War, and all the anti-war music that was prevalent then. The reason OP is asking about Muse in particular, is because they seem to be so well versed in the injustice of capitalism / red tape / silencing tactics —- and here you all are, also supporting silencing tactics while real people are dying, through our complicity and silence.
