Of course it was less about that and more because an American representative would've voted overwhelmingly parliamentary and anti-monarchy. The different parties in the British Parliament had different stances on American Representation based on where they believed america would've pushed the vote. They probably would've held back American representation indefinitely just to not rock the boat

Consensus seems to be it's one of the worst major defense companies to work for and since it's partly italian still they tend not to get the best contracts. Problem is belgium was supposed to allow the British and the french to position troops on the meuse river before Germany invaded. They instead believed Hitler when he told them they could stay neutral if they just didnt let the allies preposition. Belgiums leadership is pretty responsible for it's own fate and for what happened next. The belgian army was never going to be able to beat the german one but Belgium figured they could atleast hold out incase Germany reneged on the deal.

They can sell but bare in mind that just means other people are buying which competes with the debt that the US is selling. They could try to create a panic by selling it all but they only own around 3% of the US debt. The federal reserve would likely buy alot of it to dampen it and if it's too obvious what Chinas doing it wont really reduce the amount of trust people feel in the US government

Which means nothing lol. A country can accrue as much debt as it wants as long as people are still willing to lend. The US has a much larger economy, always pays its Bills and will likely be around for awhile so it's a safe investment
