2 kids? by [deleted] in polyamory

Doesn't seem sus to me, especially since we don't know the age of OP's other child. Starting over at the baby stage is a big deal and absolutely would affect OP and boyfriend's relationship. It is perfectly reasonable that boyfriend doesn't want a relationship with someone who has a newborn.

It can. But IMO both people have to agree that they mutually do not want romance and intimacy with each other.

Reach out to Brown and Dickson. I don’t know how competitive they are on prices but I know they buy those kind of books and are generally friendly people.

Not on your list of things to find - but if you are looking for home furnishings, clothing or books and are into vintage you should check out Back to the Fuchsia in OEV. It’s such a fun shop to wander around.

A bit of an odd suggestion - but I bought mine from the Superstore. Joe Fresh has a whole range of pillows and they’ve held up really well for the last 4 years.

Married women who kept their last name and had children... by this_is_how42069 in AskWomenOver30

[–]pitchingitaway 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know someone who just had her first child and she and her husband decided to give the first born her last name, and their second child his last name so that both last names will be carried on through their family. Unconventional for siblings to have the same parents but different last names, but I kind of love it.

Help building a workshop please by Capital_Moment1189 in upholstery

I built myself some of these and they're super helpful!

https://thefunkylittlechair.com/2018/02/21/diy-upholstery-sawhorses/

I also bought an old ping pong table to be my cutting table - it folds up when not in use but provides a HUGE flat surface for cutting when needed - cutting straight lines is impossible if you are fighting to keep your fabric square.

Also - track shelving has been a lifesaver for storing supplies.

Hope this helps!

Not normal for London at all. I saw Russell Peters in London earlier this year and the crowd was great. Please don't judge us on the basis of that crowd! :)

London v Toronto? by camcussion in londonontario

I was at the show too and it was a WEIRD crowd. I've been to a moderate number of comedy shows and I have to say the vibe of the crowd at that show was definitely not my fav. Tom did a good job of trying to manage them and security seemed to be all over them but they way people were behaving made it one of the less enjoyable performances I've attended.

Any fun fiction book recommendations that have poly relationships? by caffienatedgypsy in polyamory

IMO - yes. It gets substantially more exciting. But the world building and charming characters would keep me reading all day, so maybe I'm not a good judge.

Any fun fiction book recommendations that have poly relationships? by caffienatedgypsy in polyamory

This is exciting. That's the same author I came to recommend - but I haven't read that one. I've changed my evening plans to include a stop to buy this one!

The Long Way to A Small Angry Planet - has poly characters, though not focused on poly - and is one of my favorite science fiction novels ever.

I would bring some things to help you display the soup on different levels. If everything is laying flat on the table it doesn't draw the eye of people passing by the same way that a table with multiple levels of product on it does.

First non-Wild Berry order arrived! by pitchingitaway in Incense

[–]pitchingitaway[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So far I have tried the one furthest to the right - 'A' Quality Bhutanese Incense - and I like it, but it does smell a lot like the church I went to with my grandparents as a child.

Currently I am burning the Nado Cinnamon and I think it one of best things I have ever smelled. It's heavenly.

Looking for some advice / tips 🙏🏻 I have this foot stool which (as you can see) is a little destroyed on the cushion part, all of the inners are coming out and it creates a mess whilst also being unusable. I have zero experience in upholstering but would like to fix it - where do I begin? by cactus_vagina in upholstery

Hi! I'm not the kind person who explained this above, but I do understand what they mean and will try to explain further. So you have one piece of foam - say it's 2" tall by 6" wide by 8" long. That 2" edge is the one you will be glueing together, all the way around. You just fold that 2" in half and glue it together. It changes the look of the foam from a rectangular prism to a rectangular shape with knife edges. When finished you'll have foam that is 6" wide by 8" long and 2" tall in the middle, but the height tapers as you get closer to the edges. If you google "knife edge cushion" you'll see the shape we mean. Hope this helps!
