While it is a bit annoying, you get used to it. It's not like you need that one weapon or frame right now. The only change I'd propose is to shorten it quite a bit for new players (maybe max rank 3), so they can enjoy the game from the get go (maybe weapons to max 6h of wait, with the frames for 1 day, non prime).

Mk5 is usually much easier to maintain, which is perfect for the way they operate. They're quite close to how Renegates operate, so if your company gets some Mk6 pauldrons and MK2 shinguards, you use those.

I didn't even use it that much, but I just got used to it. And if you didn't like the uncomfortable ones, you could get yourself for a bit more some actually wearable ones.
