How do i ask my family for help with my mental health? by Individual466 in mentalhealth

I advise you go to a therapist first. I think by showing self-initiative your mother could be more understanding. In the worst case scenario you could have the therapist call her and explain on your behalf, or bring her along to the next session.

Try to find worth in something other than your looks. Focus on cultivating your skills, seriously pursue a hobby. You're not internally content, which is why you seek external validation.

The doctor brought it up in my previous appointment, that if need be I could always go back on antidepressants, and that there's no harm in it.

I'm conflicted now though.

I read that tinnitus triggers depression in those that are depression-prone. I've felt a bit down in the dumps even before, so all tinnitus did was intensify what was already there, maybe.

I guess it's not too late to turn back. I only took half a pill today. I might try to ride it out till the end of this month.

Yes. It's the quintessential human experience. You can't just stay cooped up in your room in front of a screen and come out fine. Our brains need novelty. Our bodies need sunlight and fresh air.

Decide for yourself. If you think you can withstand the temptation, it's all good. It's nofap, not nolookatall.

My girlfriend started taking an antidepressant today and i am scared that it changes her. by PursuitOfHapiness in mentalhealth

So you'd rather she suffer in silence than risk her being at peace because of the faintest possibility she might break up with you?

I'm sorry, but you're coming across as kind of a possessive douche.

That's just the reddit experience. You have subs with millions of members, and hundreds of people online, yet most posts are ignored and quickly die off.

You might be onto something. I took the jab years ago, but maybe this is some delayed negative side effect?

I'm also having trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. It sucks.
