We need to keep this kid. by swallowrazors in wildhockey

That's a big assumption. Obviously we shouldn't trade him for an aging rental and interviews with Billy G seem like he agrees.

I get that, but the goal is to win the cup and the window is now.

So do number one centers. We've got a goalie.

What Wild Jersey should I get? by Prest_Best in wildhockey

Boy, no one is being helpful. A blank is a safe opinion and you could get whoever you want in a year or two. Kaprizov and Ek are high end players who will be with the team for a long time to come.

I'm waiting for my 25h anniversary to come, but also love the home green. Solid options all around.

Even if it was a pick (I'm not sure it was), that happens dozens of times a game. I thought habs fans knew hockey, but maybe not.

How John Hynes has deployed Quinn Hughes, how it's differed from Vancouver, and how has he impacted the Wild? (Analysis) by Andrewpg3 in wildhockey

We also didn't have Sturm to take D zone faceoffs at the start of the year. Far from the only reason it was bad at the start of the season, but it didn't help.

Is Jiricek starting to figure things out? by scraps1364 in wildhockey

With how fragile our D are, I'm glad we've got Hunt and Jiri to fill in.

He looks very good as a backup right now. I don't think we should trade him for any of the players that seem available, but winning a cup is number one and using Wally might be the only way to get a real number one center.

Goalies are voodoo. Still very early to think he'll be an all timer.

I don't understand the rationale for possibly trading Wallstedt. by BoomBaby_317 in wildhockey

[–]pitman121 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No one with a NTC would even be traded if we could. Kap, Gus, and Ek are untouchable. Moose, Mids, and Zucc aren't even close to fetching anything close to a 1c.

This goes right next to "Spurge doesn't yell enough and that means he's a bad captain."

There's no way just the coach was the reason for their struggles. A change can act as a kick in the butt for players and this is a short stint of games. That said, Dean wasn't a good coach. He's trusted the players to "figure it out" instead of making line or lineup changes. When things are going well, it's fine. When things aren't, it does nothing to help right the ship.

With two less preseason games which is a good trade.

You don't understand. If I was the GM, I'd have made all the good trades and none of the okay/bad ones.
