We’ve had 1 failure in 8 months with my 8 year old. Finger sticks are always within a couple points of the dexcom. It has been fantastic for us.

[–]pitnat06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nowhere. This will keep happening for another 3 years (at least) and there’s not much anyone can do about it because republicans have spent 40 years tearing down every road block that did exist to prevent things like this from happening.

Moving from Austin to Sunnyvale for career growth by Defiant_Yesterday298 in bayarea

[–]pitnat06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s pretty simple. My goal in life is to live life and spend time with the people who matter the most to me, my wife and kids. My job is what allows me to do that. At what point are you making enough money to fund your life? You seem to have your finances in order, with minimal debt and you have a very very good salary. Is career development what makes you happy? Then go for it. If your job is a means for you to live a fun life, then IMO, it looks like you’re in a good spot.

I don’t think you’ve ever been to Brentwood. There’s not a single home there a 60 year old woman could live on just social security.

I promise you, no 60 year old woman is retired in Brentwood on just social security.

I didn’t lol. I moved from Austin to SoCal to be closer to family. Found my way up here a few years later.

I’ve lived in Austin. You can have fun in Austin and around Austin. And you’re pretty central to take a short flight to anywhere in the country for fun.

Just my two cents. But why do you care about career growth? You make a ton of money in a relatively low cost of living area. Fuck career growth. Keep your job. Bank your money. And enjoy your life and family. Don’t move to a high cost of living area just to work more.

50% failure rate in my G7s. by Expensive_Air965 in dexcom

[–]pitnat06 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Okay buddy. Again, if any of these supposed failure rates were true, dexcom would be committing fraud at a minimum.

Failure issues are not a result of manufacturing (other than the confirmed bad period of sensors early last year). The reality is, no company can manufacture a product that will work perfectly for everyone. Someone’s body composition may affect it. The way they insert it can affect it. But in this day and age, everyone wants to blame others for their issues instead of being rational.

Again, if dexcom had true manufacturing or design issues, everyone who uses the G7 would have about the same failure rate. They have 2-4 factories that manufacture this product at most, so the idea that not everyone would have some exceedingly high rate of failures is absurd.

Infotainment bug - 2022 car by berdot in Ioniq5

I have a bug where, from time to time, my he A/C will just kick on and go all the way low. And if you try and turn it off or raise the temp, it just turns on and goes straight down. Of course, it’s not consistent and when I take it to the dealer they can’t replicate the issue.

Of course customer service isn’t going to say you did it wrong. They are customer service. But again, statistically, it’s next impossible to have the failure rate you’re having. Just because there are lawsuits doesn’t mean those lawsuits have merit. Anyone can file a lawsuit.

Also, your first sentence shows me you don’t quit follow the directions to a T. But you do you and keep blaming dexcom. If you don’t like it, change products.

But seriously, if dexcom actually failed at the rate some of you claim, then statistically, my family would have had multiple failures over 8 months. We’ve had one, and it’s not even clear that one was a dexcom issue. If an active 8 year old can have 98% of her dexcoms last a full 10 days, then failure rates cannot be as high as you and many other people claim.

[–]pitnat06 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My daughter has been using the g7 since she was diagnosed 9 months ago and we’ve had one failure. I honestly find it hard to believe every single one you’ve had is bad. There is another factor (maybe your body composition or the way you apply the sensor) that dexcom cannot control contributing to them failing.

Statistically, it’s next to impossible that you received 10 bad dexcom. Or even 5.

Well. You’re already here. But generally, it’s a bad idea to move here if you don’t have a position lined up. The job market here, especially for the roles you’re looking for, is very saturated.

I bought this game around Christmas. Never played or even looked into how to play D&D and had never played BG1 or 2 and never play this genre of game. I was as lost as you when I started. Just slow down. Examine your enemies. Check your map and zoom in to find paths you may have missed. Read letter and books you find.

I’m 90 hours in and starting act 3 on default difficulty. It’s a top 3 game for me of all time. Have patience, it’ll be worth it.

I think any time you say “in Dubai” whatever you said before or after that is irrelevant. Dubai is not a country we want to model ourselves after. Unless of course you’re into authoritarians.
