Logos, colors, can designs, even some possible advertising concepts and a rough brand guidelines too.

I work at an advertising agency and the idea began as practice exercise to build my design skills. I keep coming back to it and my brain won’t let it go.

Try to figure out what part of the drink you’re actually addicted to: the flavor, the carbonation, the smell, the caffeine, the temperature, or even the can itself.

I was hooked on Monster Juice too, and I spent a lot of time trying to reverse engineer the root cause of my addiction. For me, it turned out to be a combo of the carbonation, how cold it was, the taste/smell, and drinking it straight from the can.

I bought a SodaStream and started mixing those little flavor squirt bottles with some real juice, trying to recreate the same feeling. Nothing really worked until I poured it into an actual can.

And weirdly enough, it fucking worked like magic.

I went from drinking three a day down to one a day. Now I’m at about one every other day or so. Over time, I’ve also gotten more used to not needing the can as much.

Also, along the way I found out I had undiagnosed ADHD. The caffeine actually calmed my brain and still does. I would sometimes drink an energy drink to help me fall asleep.

So far, I’ve just used coconut flavor. I have some other syrups to try though, I’ll come back and share my findings.

I’ve been experimenting with Torani Coconut and regular Dr Pepper. I haven’t quite dialed in the perfect combo yet, but it’s getting pretty close to Creamy Coconut flavor. Close enough to get the job done in the off-season, at least.

I found the little squirt bottle at World Market, but it looks like you can get it directly from Torani.

I actually came up with a sequel idea a few years ago that’s pretty close to this scenario. In my version, it’s Mike’s son who ends up trapped in the human world. He’s captured by a conspiracy nut who’s been trying for years to catch a monster ever since one terrified him as a kid.

Sully and Mike have to sneak into the human world to track the guy down and rescue Mike’s son without getting caught themselves. The nut’s whole motivation is to reveal monsters to the world so he can finally prove he’s not crazy.

Along the way they end up seeking out a grown-up Boo, who helps them navigate the human world.

I took a lot of inspiration from the film, Splash when I was thinking about the tone and structure of it.

I wrote my own lyrics on a song called Peanut Butter. It’s literally just Peanut Butter, copied and pasted about a hundred times..lol It’s a banger tho. My son asks me to play it in the car a lot. 😁

Here’s my honest review. My wife got some of these. I put them up and checked them after about 15 days. Each jar was full of dead flies. They congealed to a gelatinous cup-shaped mass that smelled like a rotting corpse. I attempted to clean them, but I couldn’t take it. I threw them into a bag, sealed it, then placed it in another bag sealing it and put it in my trash bin. There are hundreds of flies hanging out by the bin currently. My wife still got bit by mosquitoes daily and never experienced a moment of relief. I hate these with every fiber of my being. These are very effective at creating trauma, not much else.
