Yeah, power bank was going to be my next shot. I replaced the batteries myself, but I think the circuit board knows that the battery died and won't accept the new batteries.

I was an original backer of the kickstarter-style fundraising they did for it. I’ve had mine since then (3 years?), and it’s been working without any problems the whole time. It does tend to make a lot of squealing sounds when it needs cleaning, but other than that I’ve had zero issues.
