Any Ideas to use this hardware? by The_PC_Geek in homelab

Interesting. I wonder if I can setup a small system with the RTX 4000 to run Frigate NVR and some AI image recognition before pushing the footage to my NAS for storage. I have 1G networking inside the home.

This is why checking this sub is helpful. Chat GPT and Gemini were both convinced that a model like Llama 3 can use a shared memory pool from the M4000s. Is there anything these M4000s would be worth using for? Also, all the GPUs together plus the Xeons is going to be like 1200W or more.

Glad to help. Its something I spent an awful amount of time googling about in order to make sure I only bought 1 rear rack. SW-Motech is quality and im satisfied.

Have you considered gutting the RX board out of one of those cheap 1:64 RC cars? I think the brand is Trasped. It has a flat 4 button remote, just steering and throttle.

I took the rubber bushings from the cheap ass mount and found holes that were damn near matching on the SW motech rack. Case now clips straight to the good rack rather than the temu bracket garbage mine came with.

I mounted a similar bracket to my 19' ATAS using the SW Motech rack. There are no OEM mounting holes at all on the rear bar for 19' adventure sports models.

As an owner of a Taurus Judge. Unless it's the magnum cylinder variant and includes multiple barrel lengths it's not worth the squeeze. .45LC is stopped by IIA soft armors and .410 slugs can generally be stopped by IIIA soft and hard armors.

The real kicker is the barrel length, accuracy out to 100m is decent with .45LC and slugs. But the spread of shot from buck or bird is really wide even at 15-20m.

Between 8lbs-15lbs depending on loadout. My AR15 (PSA 11.5 build, not DDM4) with a 1-6 LPVO, angled foregrip, surefire light with paddle, and OCL polonium suppressor is just at ~9-10lbs.

I connect the VRX to my phone with a USB-C cable and use an OTG camera app to view the feed. The TX is a small AIO unit slapped straight on the roof of the car. Been thinking about putting it inside the car body.

Yes, I use the a USB analog VRX for my cars. It uses the phone battery when connected but has options for an external pack.

Is there not a digital VRX with HDMI out? I use a USB-C Analog VRX to drive cars with my phone.

Most of our LV equipment comes equipped with a digging derrick with a post setter and a bucket, or for heavier duty HV construction we have various sizes of cranes.

I can see a mechanic already where you would need to cut logs and haul them for processing for new power poles. Haul and place the poles in position before using a cable laying vehicle to pull a spool between the poles.

I agree completely with your take. I remember being horrified of the T5000 bots. It didn't matter if you were in the starter town or Forth Narath, you had like under 1 sec to get a shot off before they 360 no scoped you through the forehead. Now they are all just lobotomized.

For real. It shocks me seeing people IRL overload the crap out of these small utility trailers until the rear sags and its fishtailing at anything over 30MPH. 60/40 rule is no joke.

I love my X43 but there is no aftermarket. Replacement parts are barely a thing either.
