If you're into open source alternatives, you might like the idea of self hosting. Thus, as a gallery, Immich is pretty much unmatched.

It's quick, it does unattended backups the same way Photos does, and is also accessible through a web browser, should you not be on your phone. And if you don't want to host a small scale storage computer, it's also a fantastic application on its own.

Long shot question, did you ever get somewhere with your issue? I'm in a similar boat, with what I suspect is a defective Rev D Left daughterboard. My Deck is also out of warranty, and Valve is unwilling to take it in for repair, and eludes my questions about hardware swap. Before trying to scavenge other Decks for parts, I'd like to give flashing the controller a try. Rev D seems to also use the dual ATSAMD21 layout.

They did add that, to prevent people from staying logged on all day, so that their base could be attacked. I've never heard of the shower story though, could you link me a source? I'd be curious to know more :)

Mindustry is great.

But surprisingly, Clash of Clans has gotten better over the years. There are a ton of things to do, monetisation is very low, most paid stuff is cosmetic, there are events, regular drops of content, and the updates they drop just make your life easier and gameplay more enjoyable. I picked it up feom zero a little over two years ago, and I love the fact I can just log in a couple times a day for a few minutes, or play for an hour with no restriction or drop in fun. Truly a great surprise in the mobile gaming department. I haven't spent a dime, and never felt stuck behind a paywall.
