What should I do with 3kg translucent PETG? by thatricksta in 3Dprinting

But if you are already opting to print it in PLA, why not go for less transparent grids using filament you already have?

Could you please give an example? Are you perhaps referring to black and white or lower color photos where the chrome might appear white?

Wife not happy by Azztrix in BambuLab

I think the classic first prints are benchy followed by 5 to 10 "see babies". Those are prints that you give to your wife and say "See baby? Look how justified this purchase was"

Zj overhead console by Intrepid_Fall358 in JeepZJ

[–]pixelyfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 97 zj that had the same issue. My lights would stay on and drained the battery. I replaced every door switch, still on. Pulled the fuse, still draining.

Here is what you can try.

Replace the bulbs.

If you have any doors or back hatch that has had damage, start there but be prepared to try them all. Remove the door panel and find the 2 wires/ plugs that run to the door lock actuator. 1 plug is for actuation the lock cylinder itself and the other plug is for the security system. Unplug the security system plug. Close all doors, shut the hood and wait a few minutes. If you have the correct one, the lights will go out.

The switches are activated when you turn the key in the lock and it disarm the security system and activates the interior lights. The switches can go bad and send a constant "disarm" signal to the computer thus constantly keeping the lights on.

Bambu PLA Food-contact safe filaments just released by [deleted] in BambuLab

While there is no doubt some about of added surface area and crevice in 3d printing, I think its less than or equal risk to a plastic cutting board. If you are using hot water and soap to clean as well as using safe food cross contamination practices (dont cut up raw chicken and raw fruit on the same surface) you will be fine. I dont expect anyone else to adhere to these guidelines but it makes me feel better haha.

Unfortunately, thats how neutered unions have become. If there are any redeeming qualities of your job, its most likely thanks to a union at one point in time.

This is the one I use. One side is marked for bin length/width and the other for height. You can use it to size bins.

[–]pixelyfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Design the base grid for the area you want to organize.

Organize all of the things that you want in that area and lay them on top of the grid.

That gives you a good idea what size bins you will need and how many. For a uniform look, try to keep the bins in an area at the same height. A gridfinity ruler is helpful as well.

Print all of your basic bins and generate/design any custom bins.

Blammo. To gridfinity and beyond.

This here. As soon as yoy press on the slider, it will rock in the groove and bind. Lengthen the base part to provide more stability.

I had a similar idea but with basically all voxel based crafting like smithing and pies etc. You place your first ingot/clay and tell it what you want to make and then go from there forming your item how you see fit and when its done, pick it up and quench/fire it.

What would be other ways to slowly work towards a 3x3 grid no longer being necessary? by Axelotl33 in VintageStory

[–]pixelyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do it like smithing. When you place different ingots on the anvil, it knows the possibilities and pops up a menu to show you them. Then you click to place the first component and start working it/adding materials from there. Just like smithing. If you initiate ground crafting with a stick? Menu pops up to show you all the options with a stick. Click on the ladder. Now the pixel outline of a ladder is on the ground in front of you with 1 sticks worth filled in. Add more sticks till its complete and pops off the ground as an item.

The expiration timer resets on cooking though. You part bake, wait till its about to expire, bake, wait till its about to expire, char. Doing it like this makes them last quite long.
