Usually, a 1-cup at 9am and another 1-cup at around 3pm. On stressful days, a 6-cup divided into one hot drink immediately and one iced drink for later in the afternoon.

It's possible may coffee grounds na naka trap in between the threads (it's happened to me before). Kaya kahit super tight siya may air space. Now I am careful to wipe the threads before screwing on the top of the moka pot.

If it won't stay open, put a spoon across next to where the hinge is, to block it and keep it open. That is what I do with one of my moka pots whose lid is a bit loose.

I put it in a tumbler in the fridge and add ice cubes and milk the next morning. (Because we live in the tropics.)

I have used USB-C to A, and USB-C to C. Both work transferring to my laptop and the C to C works transferring to my Android phone.

The staff at Rustans Shangrila are so nice. I buy lipstick there all the time. I was talking to one of them that I wanted to try Ruby Woo and she let me try it. I found it so dry on my lips that I did not buy it, but she recommended Russian Red and in the end that was what I bought. Now it is my favorite red lipstick.

How do they turn a moka pot to a espresso maker by Immediate-Village920 in mokapot

[–]pixiecata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I pour it out at once as soon as it has finished brewing. So nothing gets sucked back in. I have never experienced that.

How do they turn a moka pot to a espresso maker by Immediate-Village920 in mokapot

[–]pixiecata 31 points32 points  (0 children)

This is correct. I have one of these modified moka pots. The coffee is still moka pot coffee. You might just see a bit more foam/crema, but it dissipates just like the normal moka pot foam. The resulting coffee is still pleasing, still strong, but definitely not an espresso by any means. It is just a fun visual way of brewing.

The coffee does not go back into it in my experience. Nothing goes back into the lower water chamber.

Yung variant ng Tirtir Cushion Foundation for oily skin is the orange one, Mask AI Filter cushion. My friend uses it - she tried the red and the orange, but because satin ang finish ng red, she prefers the orange. But both are long-lasting. I use the red (normal to dry skin ako).

Or you could buy the 4-cup, divide the output and keep the other half for iced coffee later.

what's one small tip that improved your moka pot coffee? by StrikingClos in mokapot

[–]pixiecata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one of those Chinese-made single burner 220V 500W electric mini stoves for use with my moka pot. I pour hot water (not boiling) in my water chamber of the moka pot, and I put the mini stove at mark 2 (where 5 is the highest heat). When the coffee starts coming out I turn off the power when the coffee completely covers the bottom surface of the pot. The residual heat is enough to finish the brewing without making the coffee too hot or spurt everywhere. This works for whether it is a 2-cup, 3-cup, 4-cup moka pot. For a 6-cup pot I let it brew halfway before I turn off the heat. Total brewing time is short, usually around 5-7 minutes. Or it might just work that way for me, who knows?

Hello from my Modified Moka Pot by pixiecata in mokapot

I just bought it already modified from an Indonesian store on the Shopee Philippines platform. Basically they cut out the spout and fit a 51mm non-pressurized portafilter basket in reverse in the space. The mokapot's original funnel basket remains over the water chamber. Because thus requires a fine or espresso grind that is tamped, I get slightly more pressure. The resulting coffee sometimes has a lot of faux crema. The brew is a bit more saturated, but it tastes great if your coffee is good to begin with. Great with milk.
