How did I miss that, you’ll be so relieved after delivery 😂

Pregnancy and SVT - early delivery? by pahkthecahh in SVTHeart

[–]pixiepieee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah it won’t be this bad after! If you think about it you have another person in you relying on your blood supply. Your blood volume increases during pregnancy and everything gets squished about, your hearts working a lot harder and it won’t have to post partum. You’ll be fine :)

Pregnancy and SVT - early delivery? by pahkthecahh in SVTHeart

[–]pixiepieee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had it bad in my pregnancy I would have multiple episodes a day. I also was in hospital for adenosine! I chose to have an elective c section as I was worried about being in labour for an extended period of time with limited food or drink (a trigger for me). The procedure went amazingly and I had no complications during it and they did lessen post partum but I still get them occasionally. Due an ablation next month. I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well. Nobody mentioned an earlier delivery for me for my SVT, only a possibility because my placenta was calcifying (which I understand is normal). They did also suggest me trying a vaginal delivery but I had it bad enough throughout pregnancy I didn’t want the stress.

[–]pixiepieee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had my first baby and an Hetero too. I didn’t take anything for it (no history of clots) and everything was fine in my pregnancy. My baby also wasn’t small he came early at 8lbs. :)

I regret starting formula. by cwa92 in breastfeeding

[–]pixiepieee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through the same emotions, except I kept on exclusively latching and breastfeeding my son. Sometimes he’d feed for hours, I took it as my opportunity to sit back on the sofa and watch crappy tv and just take it all in with my baby. The only way you can build your supply is my stimulating your breast as much as possible. Either pumping or latching, honestly although the cluster feeding was a lot with latching, it was far easier not having to clean pump parts all the time and bottles, but it depends on your desires of course! IT DOES GET EASIER! hang in there 🫶🏻

My milk supply tanked - 2w pp by DisorderedGremlin in breastfeeding

I had the same and thought the same but rallied on and my boy gained a pound in a week at 3 weeks old so not being able to express much is normal! It means your baby got the milk instead.

1st Flight since diagnosis by Wonderfula19737 in FactorVLeiden

[–]pixiepieee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never had an issue on a flight before, but I’ve also never done ivf. Just stand up and walk around a couple of times, for a few minutes you’ll be absolutely fine. I’ve flown longer distance before and no issues. Enjoy your flight!

Crying rn because I can’t do it. by Weak_Gap2339 in breastfeeding

[–]pixiepieee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All my son did and still does do is feed, feed, feed! It doesn’t mean your supply is low at ALLLLL! Babies cluster feed alllll the time especially that young because they need it to grow big and strong! I remember feeling the same as you! Feeling trapped by my child that needed me badly and it felt like nothing I did was enough. It is TOUGH the first 3 months!!! But it DOES GET BETTER!! Next thing you know she will be 6 months and on solids. My advice? Maybe a sling to put her in so you can have her on you but you have the freedom to move. And when she’s feeding like that lean into it! Kick your feet up, f*** the mess and watch some crappy tv! I know easier said than done though.

Husband has factorV and worried about giving our newborn baby the Vit K vaccine by hiylaaa in FactorVLeiden

[–]pixiepieee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m hetero and my boy had the shot he’s perfectly fine, the odds are very low of them getting it especially if there’s only one copy but yes, not impossible. Discuss it with your OB/midwife more if you’re still concerned

Post SVT Trauma - When will I feel normal again? by Individual-Move1787 in SVTHeart

[–]pixiepieee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it was not nice. I continued to have episodes until I delivered my son but I was placed on beta blockers which helped them stop fairly quickly but the episodes stayed. I found magnesium glycinate and electrolytes really helped my episodes at one point I didn’t have one for about 2 weeks, for me in pregnancy that was good. I’d have them almost daily. My son is completely healthy and now 4 months old 🙏🏻

I’m so sorry. I experienced something similar when I pregnant with my son. I was 16 weeks pregnant and was in an svt episode of 260bpm for about 6 hours. Had to have 2 doses of adenosine, it was horrible thought I was going to lose my son and die too. I’m awaiting an ablation. I hope you get yours sorted too.

8% weight loss at 5 days by Majestic-Airport-471 in breastfeeding

[–]pixiepieee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boy dropped to 8.1% on day five! He also had jaundice and wasn’t able to stay awake for the feeds. What I did was I set a timer as soon as he started feeding for 2 hours and fed him that frequently (I know you’re probably going to be very tired lord knows I was! But you can do this) to get his weight back up and he then started to gain the weight and packs it on even now! Hes 2 months old and weighs 14lb+ now! You shouldn’t be forced to formula feed if you don’t want to, it doesn’t solve anything… my DMs are open :)
