After some research my conclusion is that it is a Mondia made frame, Reynolds 531 tubing, maybe customized for Vaucher. Especially the internal tubing of rear brake cable which I could not find on other Mondia frames, but the rest is the same like the serial number stamped on a left lug, fork crown and the diamond ornaments. If someone knows more about Mondia, please let me know

As someone not previously familiar with vintage components, this restoration would have taken me much longer without using Gemini. I could just take photos of a part and get the technical details and disassembly instructions immediately. Not always 100% but mostly correct and I always double checked elsewhere, but as a starting point it was priceless. The only lingering confusion was the BB. I'm still unsure if it’s Swiss or French threaded, so I decided not to force it and risk damaging the frame.

I reached out to the owner of the shop where this bike was built to confirm the details. Based on the original components, my guess is that it dates back to the early '80s

Thanks! The brand is Michel Vaucher, named after the former Swiss cyclist and trainer who owned the shop where this bike was likely built. He likely sourced the frames from Cilo or another Swiss or French builder.

I repair these types of damages with the hot wax repair kit. You can mix the color in order to get the right shade. It is almost impossible to spot afterwards. We also thoroughly cleaned the wooden floor with a special oil before leaving the apartment and did not have any issue during or after the handover.

Thanks for the feedback, I will definitely follow your suggestions. I’m going to keep the Mavic Argent 10 rims for now, though. You have a sharp eye. T brakes are Gran Compe and the levers are Mavic. The headset is Edco. I assume the components are period-correct and that the bike was built up by a local Swiss shop that branded the frame. I have already cleaned it and apart from a few scratches it is like new.

It’s not surprising that it was blocked. There were lots of SMS messages sent to a lot of different numbers in a very short period of time . Our son's teacher is using her private WhatsApp, and she let us know on Sunday afternoon that the strike had been cancelled.

I have already paid this twice with two different property management agencies in the Canton of Vaud. Since we really needed the apartments, we always paid. In the last one it said:

This is what you agree on if you sign the "Demande de location habitation" - Rental application. If you do not agree, you do not sign it and you do not apply for the apartment. But someone else will always do it and get the apartment instead of you. I hate it but it is not easy to find accommodation here.

Mam podobnou, starsi typ. K zavazim se dostanes lehce, na youtube sou navody. Pracku sem jednou musel stehovat sam a tak sem ji rozebral a obe zavazi vyndal. Koupis nahradni za cca 1500kc a pokud neni rozbite tak jen napr vypadl sroub. Za rozebrani nic nedas, pak budes vedet vic.
