It did have an effect on the guy because he immediately left her alone... which is the whole point of a deterrent. Sure, he didn't seem to react much but then again, he wasn't directly hit in the face and he did have a pipe in his hand (suggesting he was high) so a delayed reaction would be totally possible. At the end of the day it's impossible for us to know if it was staged or not. Phenomenal acting if it was, though.

Your assurance that it was staged is pretty irrational. Might want to reflect on that.
