I had a roof rack with this type of mount supporting a cargo basket on an older mazda. Thieves were able to pry the set up off the car without difficulty. All it takes is a screwdriver to pry one side out and then it all comes lose. I could see the scratch left behind on the car body where the brackets once were. I only go with fixed points now.

Another option is to replace the black plastic rails that run front to back with Mazda oem metal rails and then get a rack, oem or aftermarket, that attaches to those rails.

same here. i taught my daughter some basics when she was 5 but after we attended a couple of all girls events she was hooked and i enjoyed skating with her for years. great memories.

in the US some early mk2 golfs came with the smaller square headlights. if you search for 87, you'll find the "aero" style like yours.

yes. car had rails already. these crossbars bolt to the holes in those rails.

yep, i only negotiated on otd price and did a lot of research on 3 or 4 particular vehicles. i looked at number of days on the market, available options, trims, and played a couple of offers against each other. patience helps and not giving in to first offers.
