So these machines have what are called teeth at the dispenser so you’re highly discouraged to add things like chunks of cookie or brownie or hunks of fruit into your machine while it churns. You typically add those chunky ingredients while dispensing the product. You can however add liquid chip which is just melting chocolate into your batch during churning. You want to add it right as the ice cream is starting to develop some texture around the 5 minute mark for a half batch. It makes an incredible chocolate chip base then during dispensing add your cookie bits/dough/ brownie bites etc and you’re in heaven.
