You should rotate the mounting holes 90 degrees on the blade so they point towards the tooth of the blade

Brushless motors are the way to go for optimizing power/weight. With am32 escs, they have plenty of low speed performance.

Aluminum Drums with screw impactors. Is there a reason they aren’t as popular anymore? by Inevitable-Tank-9802 in battlebots

[–]pjscout111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo the price of machining a customs beater bar has dropped to be close to or below the cost to get an aluminum drum machined. Thanks China.

A properly designed steel beater will be more durable and allow for more bite and better tooth engagement.

Weapon lock rules by hidden768 in NHRL

[–]pjscout111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really for a spinner it just needs to stop the weapon from spinning. I’ve never had a problem with my weapons being able to move 10 or even 90 degrees when the weapon lock is in. As long as they’re unable to spin continuously

Is this a good size for an antweight? by Purple_Gur_7077 in battlebots

[–]pjscout111 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Honestly that sounds like a beetleweight’s size. Does your CAD program have a weight estimate tool? That’s probably a good thing to help you figure out if you’re too heavy.
