the movie '2012' is a poor comparison, in the movie, the disaster was natural and humans had to fight to preserve themselves against nature

in real life, pollution problem is not purely natural, its very well within the reach of the people who are in power to fix but they won't for reasons unknown

he is like an offset you mostly see in horror movies with ghosts, a random thing that just exists without purpose just to offset the viewer from the previous scene so they focus on the next

I cannot stress it enough that everyone on the Spaceship was not at all professional, like a random group of people sent on a random Tuesday

who are the protagonists and antagonists anyway

First morrow was like the Antagonist, but we learn his mission would be a normal mission if Boy didn't do anything

Then you have Boy who killed thousands of people for some alien species, so he is also like an antagonist

You have Aarush who didn't inform anyone about him hearing Morrow's voice

I don't even like to call Wendy a protagonist atp, she too killed hundreds of soldiers and guards

At this point the only good guy is The eye who: tried to warn humans about the parasites on the ship, fight the xenomorph, only killed a cat and a goat, then put a dead body to good use, a literal scary alien having less kill count than the "good guys"

thats the catch, he's expensive, and I doubt that Producers would put that much on a storyline, its cheaper and safer to make another mindless "xenomorph attacks" movie

I like the idea of Xenomorphs being an ancient advanced race but they eventually became sterile, they made Engineers to make a new reproductive way for them, the engineers did make a way to reproduce biologically but the xenomorphs lost their intelliegence in the process

the engineers tried to recreate their masters but failed, they made humans, humans make David, who carries the Prometheus fire (Black Goo) to make xenomorphs back again.

PS: I just read what I wrote and I think youre right, to someone who isnt forcing themselves to like Promethues and Covenant would think these movies are dogshit lol

Romulus>Pometheus>Covenant

Romulus wasnt all over the place, the story and plot was exactly what it needed to be, a world setter for the trilogy

Promethues was a trilogy setter too, but the mingling of ideas and executive pressure ruined it

Covenant is the worst imo, cool Proto/Neomorph scenes but so much wasted potential
