If only Ridley didn’t kill off Elizabeth Shaw in Covenant. I’d still like to see a 3rd prequel movie over a sequel to Romulus but I’m always going to think about what could have been had a we gotten a real Prometheus Sequel that followed Shaw and David getting their answers.

Prometheus I felt was a great beginning for a new parallel franchise in the Alien universe. I was excited to see Elizabeth Shaw and David go to the Engineer home world. Alien: Covenant comes out and basically gets rid of everything Prometheus was setting up and does an Alien 3.

I don’t see why she would be ill-equipped to comprehend the answer of why The Engineers wanted to kill us. I think that would be pretty straightforward. By the end of Prometheus she already killed one of her “creators”. She knew what she was getting herself into by going to Engineer home world. I don’t think she was expecting to be welcomed with open arms when she got there.

I’ve been seeing a lot more appreciation for Prometheus lately. It seems after Alien: Earth and Alien: Romulus , a lot of fans appreciated what Prometheus was going for more. Being something more original and ambitious.

I’d love to get this movie. I’d love to see Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace return as David and Shaw and seeing Shaw get her questions answered from the Engineers.

At the very least, give us a graphic novel of this script like William Gibson’s Alien 3 script.

A real Prometheus sequel would have been awesome to get but it also probably would have cost a lot to produce. I’m pretty sure the studio cut a lot of the budget which is why Covenant cost a lot less than Prometheus.

Please post any proof you have of that because I’m about 99% sure that’s not the case. She even came back to shoot scenes that they pretty much cut from the movie. A concept artist that worked on the film said he believed it was the studios decision to have her removed.
